i want to ask which doffs stack their abilities, i know that technicians stack but what about the others and also with the new changes to sensor analysis will it require a beam weapon to work on the enemies or it has been changed ?

You can assign between 1 and 3 DOffs of the same type to either Ground or Space. Which ones exactly - I have no access to a complete list, I am afraid. I know that You can only assign one Sensor Officer, though.

Sensor Analysis - changes? There has been no change as far as I know it.

But as You do mention Beam Weapons - I can only assume that You are referring to the 'Target [Subsystem]' Abilities of Science ships - which indeed do require a beam weapon to work.

    http://sto.gamepedia.com/Duty_officer

lists all duty officers, clicking on specialization will show how many can stack. There are changes coming to sensor analysis but you'd need to check the tribble forums for specifics.

Sensor Analysis will change several things when it's modified in Season 9.

Current (Old and Busted): Sensor Analysis activates automatically and stacks up to 9 times with 3.3% damage from the user to that target while target is maintained within 10km. It takes a considerably long time to reach the 9th stack however.

Future Sensor Analysis: It will become a toggle power (I personally set mine to Shift+Numpad 0) and can be used on both enemies and allies. As a toggle power, it can be set to a ship, EDIT: and will maintain even though the user changes targets (They must still be in weapons range). It now only stacks 6 times, once per 3 seconds. An enemy painted with Sensor Analysis will take 5% more damage per stack from all allies, while allies targeted with Sensor Analysis will receive 5% bonus healing from the user per stack. On the 6th stack, enemies will have their healing effectiveness reduced by 50%.

Important Note: Multiple Science Vessels will be able to combine their Sensor Analysis on a single ship, and the overall number of stacks on the target can exceed 6.
