Wondering if someone could help me, trying to do Honor Day mission for my Klingon toon. He is Lvl 50 and has never done b4. Have only had him for about a month. When i go to first city and beam to Bortasqu i talk to Koran and start mission. When i depart for testing ground it spawns me in my Mogh battle cruiser instead of Bortasqu. I've completed mission 3x and haven't received any reward. Have sent trouble ticket to tech support and they said they couldn't help me cause they "want players to fiqure out missions for themselves". If anyone can help me i have asked many times in chat but to no avail, i would appreciate any help.

I am sorry to hear that and I think that the response you received is equal for me with : "I don't care for your trouble, take a standard answer and mark another problem solved even if it is not"
Welcome to kdf by the way
The mission itself has a bug ,I did the same thing as you actually twice, and third time I tried on a kdf reman and after I did understand the bug I completed on kdf.
Steps that worked for me are :
1.) Check the availability of the mission on Available tab and hail the contact .
2.)Warp to system (Qonos or New Romulus ) .I used J key and clicked on the info regarding the mission .After you warp outside of origin planet, if you did step one, you will have a new option beside the option to warp to Qonos system .If you didn't do first step you will have only the old single option to warp to Qonos
3.)You select the option to warp to admiral ship ,do the mission and don't respond to last hail
Instead you click on your right where there are listed the current missions and you click on Honor Day /Republic Day.Your contact will appear and mission will be finished
(It is similar to bugs in LoR while I played on tribble btw so this bug is a kind of standard bug for new missions lol)
4.)After you got your mission reward you click on OPS and respond to hail and you warp back in your ship.

your advice worked Dova, used J key to bring up window to hail contact. When ever i went to 1st city to talk to chancellor it never gave me the option to accept mission. Was able to accept mission by pressing J key in sector space outside of Qo'Nos. Thanks again for your help.
I'm having the same problem. Man, sometimes this game feels like a beta-version of a C-class game...
Sometimes?
Anyway, for anyone that will encounter this issue - do not follow instructions! The instructions are a mess and most of them point you in the wrong direction.
The way to do this is the following:
- Hail J'mpok via the mission journal ('J' button)
- Go into Omega Leonis (yes, not Qo'noS orbit, not the IKS Bortasqu' via shipyard and not Ganalda as it says), right next to the planet Qo'noS and it will give you an option to start the 'Day of Honor' mission.
- Afterwards, it's suposed to automatically bring you to Ganalda station after the conversation on the IKS Bortasqu' bridge and you'll be in the right ship - the IKS Bortasqu'.
- When you finish and leave map, hail J'mpok and you'll receive your reward.
^ This worked for me at least. Your experience may vary.
Thanks for the work-around, I was able to finish it this time.
A suggestion for Cryptic maybe: Why don't you guys create a sticky forum thread for each mission (new or old, doesn't matter obviously) and link to that thread on mission description pages? This way you'll make player-player communication (aka 'da real game support') much easier and thus gaming experience much better.
cheers

You need to pick the mission through the missions tab, if you go directly to the transporter and the bortasqu without adquiring the mission, the mission doesnt count and you will not receive the reward.

It's not just that you need to do, the whole thing is a hot mess. Here's a walkthrough from what happened to me:
- I needed to contact J'mpok via the 'Mission Journal'. Not talk to him directly, but via the 'Mission Journal' even though I was standing next to him. Didn't give the option otherwise.
- After taking the mission from J'mpok, the mission pop-up on the side of my UI said to go to Ganalda Station. This was not correct.
- The mission summary under the 'Missions Journal' said to go to the Qo'noS Shipyard to talk to Captain Koren. This was also not correct.
- Going to the I.K.S. Bortasqu' from the transporter pad in First City didn't work as well, because the system didn't reckognize the mission as started. I ended up in my BoP instead of the I.K.S. Bortasqu' and didn't get the special bat'leth.
- Then I needed to go in Omega Leonis Sector Block (on my own wild guess), right next to Qo'noS solar system. It is then when I received a pop-up to start the 'Day of Honor' mission. This finally worked.
- After all of this, the mission ran as it's suposed and I finished it.
Yeah, I had the same problem as the OP as I am sure many people who plays KDF has as well.
Instead of flying the Bortasqu into the test field, I was flying my T4 BoP. I managed to destroy all the starships with the exception of the Undine Battleship. After several repeated tries I only managed to get it's hull down to 47%. I finally decided to abort the mission.
I will try again tonight with the above suggested work around.
I did not have any issues with my Fed toon... Perhaps Cryptic does not bother with Q&A testing for the KDF faction????

Based on what I've seen since joining right at the 2nd Anniversary event, Cryptic wouldn't know testing if it bit them on the TRIBBLE and they know even less about doing anything worthwhile with test results.

Yep. Sometimes it does. And then there are the bad days...

Try it when you can, it should work.
