Changing looks of faction bridge officer

I play KDF and just got my human bridge officer from doff level 4 marauding. I can't change the outfit at all. Is this normal or am I missing something?

    Sadly this is a known issue. KDF cannot alter the appearance of the Tier 4 Marauding BOFF reward. Welcome to the KDF.

    This is an issue??? i thought it was intended, since it happens as well with other Boff rewards in the Federation side and the romulan side. (so, yes, dont blame the KDF, Feds have a few boffs that cant be changed their appearance).

    There's a difference between some of the "reward" BOffs, Khitomer Accolade Borg, J'H, the "FE reward" Breen & Reman that can't change uniforms for anyone, and the T4 diplomacy/marauding reward BOffs.

    On my two Feds who got to T4 diplo, the Orion I picked up has full access to her "standard" KDF uniform option pile. TOS, TMP, TNG, Orion Bikini, etc., whatever I can dress my KDF Orion BOffs in, my Fed-side Orion gets to wear.

    However, it's a well known fact that the Fed BOff who runs to the KDF is stuck in the default uniform, with absolutely no customization options at all. And that has many people complaining...
    Detecting big-time "anti-old-school" bias here. NX? Lobi. TOS/TMP Connie? Super-promotion-box. (aka the two hardest ways to get ships) Excelsior & all 3 TNG "big hero" ships? C-Store. Please Equalize...

    There is a workaround; if you get the Miner uniform from the Fleet Dilithium Mine Holding, you can then edit your Marauding BOff's appearance as normal with the caveat that you have to have them in the miner outfit. Armour costumes still work over that though.

    Random as anything, but there you go...
