Borg Set 2 piece proc

I've been noticing lately that whenever this proc occurs, my ship's skin visuals change to those of the Borg shield for the duration of the buff.

The catch? This happens even if I have the visuals for the set pieces disabled.

It seems like disabling the visuals for the Borg Set should disable the visuals for the proc as well. Why go to the trouble of choosing not to have your ship look like a half Borg monstrosity if its going to look like a half Borg monstrosity anyway, right?

Either that, or there is actually some way to disable the proc visuals that in my ignorance I haven't noticed... :P

It's been that way for as long as I can remember, that's why I only got the borg set once, and now it just sits in my bank. I don't want my ship to look like that, and when it randomly shifts back and forth due to the proc, it looks really stupid.
