Has anyone heard of this? A fleet friend of mine sent me the link to their homepage and it sounds almost too good to be true. I guess it takes place before TOS and it's during a time when Starfleet and the Klingons are at war.

I was thinking about donating to their kickstarter but I thought I'd check here to see if anyone heard about this being a scam or something.

    Priority One did a podcast a few weeks back interviewing the guy making this all happen.

    In short, all trek fans should be super excited.

    I was going to say hang off on backing as the main movie itself to be kick started after prelude is the main thing to be excited about, but it seems that now anything additional over $70k goes to funding the main movie itself.
    Not sure how they'll work that, but feel free to jump on board.

    Thanks! Yeah after I posted that comment I did some research and wow; it's everywhere. They've even got some BSG cast members on board for it.

    Nice to know that someone other than STO is working hard to keep things going.

    Hint, hint CBS and Netflix.

    I just watched a 4 minute interview with the cast members. Really looks good. They're even going to have Soval in it! A perfect way to bridge the gap between Enterprise and TOS.

    seem the Prelude drew in 10 times the amount of funding they'd set as a goal. Looks like a good start.

    Yeah that was pretty intense that they were able to do that. Good news for Star Trek!
