Oddy or Fleet Dreadnaught

Hello,

I'm just looking for a little advice here, for a while now i've been working with the Advanced Obelisk Carrier and I was having a fair bit of fun with it until I started to miss the fact that I wasn't flying a proper Federation ship. Missed it to the point where i'm looking to change now; before that I had the Oddy Tac and I enjoyed that too. However I also have the Dreadnaught in my stockpile.

I'm not sure now what i'm going to get the best out of, in the past I've been more of a tank cruiser type player (i'm a tactical captain) and i've never had much of a problem playing the role. In your opinion am I missing out by not taking advantage of the new Dreadnaught capabilities (I can get the Fleet version without a fuss) and tweak my gameplay or whether or not the Oddy is a better option. Is there a consensus as to whether or not the (Fleet)Dreadnaught or Oddy is better?

Thanks in advanced for any help.

Imo the Odyssey is the better and more versatile ship.

You may not be able to squeeze out as much dps, but you get a solid ship with a really great boff layout that allows you to deal a nice amount of damage without having to use an A2B build (huge plus point imo) and still maintain lots of survivability.

To the dread: The Saucer Seperation synergizes great with the Dreadnought. But you'll need to get the Exploration refit as well (or the bundle).
Other than that, your only way to get decent dps is an A2B build (and i hate to use A2B, that's why i prefer the Odyssey)

    Hope this helps ;)

Since you're a tac captain, skip them both and go for the fleet Avenger. It'll cost more modules, but you can use the cloak from your cstore Galaxy-X.
