So which updated reputation powers will be nerfed in 9.5?

In the name of "balance" PWE changes the reputation system. I don't like it either but we have to live with these changes I suppose.

So we have to choose reputation traits after S9. I'm sure the best players of STO already trying to figure out the math and thinking about minmaxing the new system. Of course this will lead new "imbalanced" builds - and the "logical" solution will be some finetuning (=nerfing) of the traits.

I can see two ways ahead:
- simply nerfing the traits
- or make some traits mutually exclusive, ie. you can't use X trait if you are using Y trait. For example some players will start complaining about Nukara tier 4, because both aux power configuration on a Vesta is "overpowered". :)

What do you think which powers will be nerfed at first? :)

My tips:

Nukara Tier 2 - Enhanced shield penetration
New Romulus Tier 2 - Precision
Dyson Tier 2 - Advanced targeting systems

I don't know that I agree. If all players who have completed the reps have access to all of the new "traits," and they can switch freely between them, there arguably isn't a balance issue.

The issue the devs are trying to address is the cumulative effect of having all of the traits applied at once - it has nothing to do with the individual traits themselves. Forcing a player to choose only 4 at a time is a means of "throttling" that cumulative power.

I can understand if you still don't like it, but I'm not sure that it's going to lead to widespread "nerfing" of individual traits.
You're right. The work here is very important.

You can count the Tier 1 Ground Versions in, too. Also, don't forget the then changed Omega ones on T1/T2. Those will be turned from 'Skill boost' to 'straight up Damage boost'. So either they count as a [Dmg] Bonus, or they give a multiplier.

I agree. This is simply a change in the established game. It will force everyone to develop new strategies and tactics. The idea of a zero sum game applies here. As it would if they increased the amount of dilithium that could be refined, created a purple level XIII gear, or added advanced ships that made everything you own obsolete. After everyone adjusts and upgrades your right back to where you started.

They just went in and made the system work this way and BOOSTED all the powers. They're not going to turn around and nerf them.

There is always a possibility for nerfs.

I think the only one I can immediately think of that might be problematic is that "ignore shields" proc passive. Seems problematic. But maybe that is just a PvP issue ,and that has never been a priority.

I find it extremely unfair that every time we consider less than zero, in the game, take away the rights acquired yearly,, so far, and 'with the commitment that we have made to increase the level of reputazzione.e now depotenziano succeed. I find it extremely unfair ...
