With this new Mirror Universe event, now would be an opportune time to 'experiment' with removing the phaser proc lockout, maybe temporarily at least.

    It's a good time in general to take a look at removing the current Phaser proc and replacing it with something else...

    I tend to agree, but what do you have in mind?

    I've been wondering about the idea of it not being a proc, as such.

    Instead, phasers would draw 50% less power than other weapons, reflecting the idea that this iconic Federation weapon type is the product of the finest engineers among the powers.

    You should get 8k unrefined dilithium as the phaser proc, in order to better reflect canon that dilithium is recrystallized and 2409 technology and so forth.

    And not because I want an easy way to get dilithium. Really. Seriously.
