Oh, yeah, it's a holiday. Nice.

Now back to the most important thing in life: gaming.

    STO, to be specific.

had an Irish friend once, somewhat of a delinquent but always had that charm which is characteristic with the Irish, always had a smile and jokes, usually some rude ones and random ones and had me in stitches everytime. i havent seen him since i left school a decade ago.

Yes, thanks to the late 19th century. We honor the Irish, with a racist sterotype holiday. Like the good natured people my mom, and her parents are, they appreciate the acknowledgement of their culture. The Odd relationship was that they immigrated here during a blight, and were used as cheap factory labor in the early days of the industrial revolution in the US. No value was placed on their lives, as they died by the thousands in industrial accidents because OSHA did not exsist yet. They were paid less than a living wage, because there were no unions. They ate corned beef back then, because it was cheaper than chicken.
The latest fad, is to celebrate cynco de mayo.(Mexican independence day) With Sombrero's, tequila shots, and Tacos.I'm tempted to ask a Mexican American, if they find that an offensive and racist stereotype.

for some reason crime tv shows in the states show all Mexicans who come into the US and live there as prostitutes, gang types and low paid slaves to the status quo. now thats a stereotype if ever there was one.

as far as the Irish go, out here we seem to link the Irish to Leprechaun's as a stereotype going so far as to tell kids that at the end of a rainbow there is a pot of gold :P.
