I have 3 dual phaser beams and a tricobalt in front, and 3 simple phaser beams and a tricobalt in the rear. All weapons are XI or XII maybe, fore are purple rear are blue.
I am curious for advises for the best buildup of this ship.
I am more curious for the pros and cons for the tricobalt torpedos as they can be targeted and shoot out, while other torpedos have faster firing rate and can not be demolished. And in the same time is it worth to have dual beams in front? They have higher damage than a single beam, but I think it has its cons too.
depends on your playstyle, personaly i hate the oddy, but it does make a good broadsider, your choice of weapons should be fine, personaly I hate phaser as they are almost useless in PVE (I dont PVP), tricobolts are not bad, they do high damage, but can be destroyed easily, Personally, I would recomend, and I am sure others will say I am wrong, SIngle Torpedo at the front, with a DBB and 2 arrays, at the rear 3 and a torp or 4 arrays, as for energy type, I would always suggest plasma or disruptor, I love the elachi ones, esspecialy now the lockout has been removed, but nanite are also good, the hirogen tet weapons are not to shabby either, as is pol. Torp wise, I would go for either plasma, trans, or wide angle quants if you have them, if u can get either the dyson torp or romulan hyper plasma they may good choices also.
Hope that helps.

You should replace the DBBs with single beams, it's not good to split your dps up, you should be able to shoot all of your weapons within the same arc to be most effective (that's why the torps are questionable as well, i'd run max. 1 in front, tricobalts are nice because of the high cd you don't need to leave your broadside-beam firing arc as often).
For Max DPS i recommend going only beams/7 beams + Kinetic Cutting Beam in rear slot (+ combination of the KCB with the assimilated console very much recommended)
I agree lose the DBB and go beam arrays. Also why tricobalts? With the long cooldown you could do more damage with another torp in the same amount of time. While I love torps, and I think all ships should be required to have one, you lose DPS having them. If you don't care that is awesome. I play certain builds because they are fun also. But if you want to maximize your damage run eight beam arrays and FAW with ApB. You will get good results in DPS in most PvE content. If you would like to test your build in PvE content look me upk in game @simeion. I will be happy to combat log any thing you want to run.
To go into more detail I would have to know more about your build and career you have chosen to play.
Look at the above post seven arrays and the Borg kentic cutting beams.
I only suggested the DBB as the OP seemed to like them on the build he had, going full array is always a good idea, 360 APB and KCB are always a good choice in the rear slots.

Phasers useless in pve????? lol, i love em, and i own in pve...
They have the same baseline damage of any other beam, which when coupled with the considerable ease of PvE does technically mean you can "own" with them. But then again, if you could "own" with phasers, you could "own" with anything. Their proc sucks balls compared to disruptors/plasma/antiproton. Especially against the borg, where it might as well not even exist.
Sorry for a little different question. I have a tactical Oddysey and I plan to buy the operations one as well. My question is, can I use Aquarius and saucer separation at the same time?

there pointles proc is the reason why they are useless in PVE, other weapons procs are far more usefull against NPC vessles.

DOffs required:
1x Energy Weapons Officer (reduce cooldown on BFAW, more than one if it can stack, since I don't remember if it can)
2x Damage Control Engineer (at least one purple, if you have rank 4 engineering on your DOffs, you can replicate one for 1 mil ecs and you can get one from the DOff store too I believe)
2x Maintenance Engineer (one purple one blue, reduce cooldown on ET)
1x Warp Core Engineer (+power upon usage of EPtX abilities)
This build is quite nasty, and incredibly effective for PvE.
You'll need to have the rep system more or less finished, and you'll also need access to a relatively high level fleet (both of which really aren't an issue, since rep system can be done in just over a month and fleet access has been greatly facilitated courtesy of the Public Service chat channel), and you'll need a ton of dil and FCs (mostly dil). The one good thing is that this build is very very cheap EC-wise.
Long story short, you'll be drawing a LOT of aggro with this build, but it's an Oddy, she can take the heat. Fly her smart, and fly her well, keep cycling EPtS and EPtW, and use ET for heals and HE for cleanses and you'll have NO problems at all staying alive.

No. If one is active, the other can't be used. Stupid, but that's how it is.
It is said the best weapon is one that is never fired. I disagree. The best weapon is one you only have to fire... once.
