IS the Paratrinic Shield Array missing from episode Replays?

Trying to find the Paratrinic Shield Array for a budget build ship when i realized it was not in any of the mission rewards? is it missing or am i just blind?

    From STO WIKI - hope it helps.

    There are four main types of starship shield arrays, each with their own particular specialty. The [Paratrinic Shield Array] uses alien technology to create a high strength shield with a much higher maximum capacity than any other shield array. A Paratrinic shield array is equivalent in capacity to a [Covariant Shield Array [Cap]x3] of the same mark, but a has a lower regeneration rate. This type of shield array was made available at ranks up to and including Mk XI in the 15 December 2011 patch.

    The Paratrinic Shield Array is a possible reward from the Federation mission “Past Imperfect”, the Klingon mission “Test of Mettle” and the Romulan mission “Tradecraft”.

    I have already looked, in-game it is not a possible reward for the klingon faction in any of those missions. I looked at the STO wiki several times to make sure i was looking at the correct missions.

    Thats weird - Im at work and cant look at it in-game - but here's a suggestion: Do a hunt on the exchange for [Covariant Shield Array [Cap]x3]. Its almost the same thing and you might find one on the cheap.

    the MK XI [cov]x3 version is about 1.5 mil, so i COULD afford it, but would rather not waste my money on such a small boost (I have MK XI [cov]x2), especially when there is supposed to be something just as good as a mission reward.

    MK XII [cov]x3 are over 4 mil, so that is out of the question

    None of that is showing up for me and never has. the only thing that shows up for me are the EXP rewards.

    Just went to replay the mission and even though i know i did it previously, it does not seem to think i had done it before as it just gave me a free costume change adn lt. COMM ship token O.o

    I wonder if its because it says secondary mission for you
    as i never did mine

    I'd get the Paratrinic shield just for the lolz of having a "Mk X!" item. :P Yes really. It's not labeled MK XI it's Mk X!. :P

    I see allot of the responces are not getting what your asking. while they are correct it still was not the answer. yes on playthroughs they took it out for some reason. just like the shiled cap scince console on replays and the Harpeng torp doff mission. never a mention or release note as to why that I have seen they are just gone.

    and for the torp its really pain. only way for a Klingon to get it now is to craft one but then its bound to the crafter. so I cant make one for any of my other toons or fleet mates


    so basically if you want that shield at a higher mk lvl skip that mission at the lower lvl and then play it when your at lvl 40 or 45 ish

    I suppose this makes somewhat happy that I have chosen to ignore the main story for both my Fed and KDF toons. I've been level 50 Fed for about 3 weeks now, but the last time I did a main story mission was over 5 weeks ago. I think that mission was "Treasure Station" or something like that.

    I've been doing more story line missions for my KDF toon since to me it seems there aren't too many options to do "whatever" to level up your character compared to the Federation. For example, the PvE missions are basically dead. Currently at level 49, but I want to be level 50 before starting the next mission "Gates of Grethor" to get a max level Shard Sword of Kahless. Since it is a unique item, I am guessing it is only awarded the 1st time you play. I guess once I hit level 50, I'll also go back and do "Second Star to the Right..." to get several Plasma-Disruptor Hybrid Beam and Cannon MK X.

    O.o Didn't the mission send you to the Cursa system to test your new ship you acquired, asking you what type of a Federation ship you want to face in combat after it gave you the ship and the costume change? Because I usually get that shield array after I finish the Cursa system thing.

    Yes is I got it on the test of mettle episode before if I remember correct!

    I noticed today as well that the Paratrinic Shield Array is not allowing an upgraded version as a possible reward for redoing the mission at later levels. I glanced at all my available missions as well for possible redo, in case they moved it, & nowhere to be found.

    I wonder if this is the same for Federation & Romulan or just KDF getting the shaft. Going to have to investigate to determine if intentional or glitched accident.

    I tinkered around a bit involving this mission with my various characters today. For original KDF the "Test of Mettle" replaying for higher rank of the Paratrinic Shield Array is absent. As stated earlier the reward is just experience. For Federation & Romulan original characters they can keep upgrading their Paratrinic Shield Arrays with the missions of "Past Imperfect" & "Tradecraft". I am hoping this is a simple overlooked mistake, because if not, that is a shotty thing to do to original KDF toons.

    For most of my toons I just use storyline mission rewards for their gear. It is a nice shield too. maybe accidental maybe intentional, but if intended wouldn't they had stated something?

    I saw the same thing awhile back when I wanted the MK XI version (it only goes to mk xi).
    I believe it has to do with the inclusion of the new early missions.

    I also don't believe you can skip that mission and pick it up later because it's part of the promotion process.
    I think I ran into that brick wall during the last xp event.

    I am currently leveling-up a KDF character & noticed this as well. Federation & Romulan has access to keep upgrading their Paratrinic Shield Array but not KDFs.

    Is there any particular reason Cryptic has stated this is or is it an oversight they've failed to address or even plan to address?
