TRIBBLE Maintenance and Release Notes - March 14, 2014

We will be bringing down the Tribble server for maintenance to apply a new update: ST.40.20140223a.14

New Features:
  • New Earth Space Dock:
  • The interior of Earth Space Dock has been redesigned!
  • The state of ESD is very close to our final layout and design but this is still a work in progress.
    • All art and audio are not finalized.
    • Not all contacts are present.
    • There may be a couple of ways to get to old ESD.
      • Please help by reporting any of these cases on the forums.

General:
  • Undine Assault:
    • There is now a limit on how many Nausicann Mercenaries can be purchased.
    • The combo timer resets time if you close a gate once you have achieved a 3x combo.
    • Shuttles can no longer enter the map.

Known Issues:
  • The Reputations tab cannot be accessed.
  • The Borg and Undine episodes cannot be accessed.
  • The new queued event Undine Assault is still a work in progress.
    • This includes a placeholder boss fight.
  • The new Kit Revamp is still a work in progress.
  • There is no error explaining that loadouts and quick equip will not work if the captain’s inventory is full.
  • Powers granted by a space set are not remembered in the power tray when using the loadouts feature.

    Wow, heck of a thing to drop right before the weekend. That's madness.

    How will this affect foundry missions that use the doors on the current ESD as map transitions?

    Edit: We've been very careful with trying to maintain all UGC Contacts, Doors, Objects, etc. Doors will be in new places, but they should all be there. The old hall of doors will still exist, you'll take a turbolift to get to it still, but the turbolifts should be more obvious.

    Contacts and Objects might look different, and be in new places, but they should also all be present.

    If you find anything missing, please let us know.

    Will the panel outside the transporter room still be the panel outside the transporter room?

    Dude! DUDE! Taco, man you guys are amazing it looks beautiful, obviously got a ways to go but D@MN! Will the exterior of ESD get an update to reflect the new interior remodel? Cause while the look of ESD is iconic it is dated by this time.

    this whole crashing thing on start up since season 9 went on tribble is really getting old, especially when theres a new esd to look at. at least holodeck still works. seriously, what fundamental thing has changed that would cause startup crashes all the sudden?

    have fun going through that 382,165,684 kb full diagnostic dump that got sent.

    Must have taken you a while to send 350gb. .

    If only there were a place that people could, voluntarily, test new content. ;)

    I heard of a place called Tribble. I also heard it states content may be buggy when released.

    Uuuu shiny shiny new ESD, i wasn't expecting that good, well done.

    So, can we rommys now at least have security officer, it doesn not have to be nice, just some ugly old bold guy who will take my contraband, somewhere in the corner, doesn't have to have shiny office?

    OK.......

    There is a Voth Medic NPC in the new ESD that can send you to the Dyson Sphere Battlezone, but we still have no NPC in the battlzone to send us to Dyson Joint Command in allied space. We still have to beam to our freaking ship, go all the way across the contested zone to the border, then go all the way through allied space to get back there. :mad: In allied space there are 2 ways to get to the battlezone: the NPC inside joint command, and an option that appears near the gate in the allied zone north west corner, that takes you back to Tae Dewa sector. The option is to take a shuttle to the battlezone.

    What, is it like a one way trip via shuttle to the battlezone? Does the shuttle get blown up after dropping you off because it's so dangerous? Sheesh.

    I look forward to checking out the new ESD! Not that I didn't like the old one, but I guess it was time for a change. Hope it still has a club ;)

    Missing the club at the moment. The DJ is in a place that looks kinda empty, but hopefully in construction :)

    I would truly like to thank you and the art department for this new map.
    It looks absolutely epic and I really do look forward to visiting it, I can't wait to see it in it's final state.

    While on the topic of the Foundry and while you are making this map can we have a few extra contacts and doors added as start points... Thats all i ask

    I used the Voth interact accidentally to go to the battlezone, i immediately beam up and Transwarped back to ESD, then tried to dock and it took me to the old ESD

    Sol system drydocks should be functional for ship repairs.

    Also I assume the gray crud on the big map is still WIP?
