when is a thread about PvP...not a PVP thread?

ok, so....

really, answer the question...

this is to the mods of this forum. and to the community.

the fact that PvP threads are being moved to other locations only has a a few reasons behind it happening.

i'd like to know what they are.

    Dear Forum User,

    You have noticed a change in forum policy which accompanied the move to Arcgames.

    Threads with simply "Title" will no longer be accepted.

    Please use the format "PvP: Title" to identify a thread as relating to PvP.

    This is due to the fact that forum policy will now mirror developer policy of being unable to wrap one's fragile little mind around the concept of PvP.

    Similarly, all threads relating to KDF bug fixes, Gal-R requests, and new PvP maps requests will be moved to the old forum site as the arc games site will not support them.

    Heh, would be funny if we couldn't get an answer because it's discussing moderation...lol.

    Well, not really funny - but uh - yeah...

    Kind of like Faction-specific build threads being moved from the Faction-specific ship forums to the Builds section. Not all of them mind you...just some here and there.

    Same with some PvP builds - but not others.

    Some mechanic threads are moved from General to Builds, but not others. Heck, General itself is pretty much a dumping ground of threads that should be elsewhere...but that's not enforced...unless it is.

    I've kind of given up on things being anywhere I'd think they should be...based on forum titles or where they've been in the past. I think Arc includes a forum bot that just randomly rearranges things from time to time...

    Nope. This thread is a non-starter beginning with the "discussion of moderation" swiftly followed by the faux arcgames response.

    Almost everything you guys discuss could reasonably fit better or just as well in another forum.

    Ship builds that aren't PvP-centric? Check.

    Discussion of Powers and Game Mechanics that aren't specific to PvP? Check.

    It's up to the Mod to decide where a thread fits if it doesn't seem to fit where it was created. It can be a subjective decision, I agree, but it's not open for debate per Forum rules.
