Stop Buying The Romulan Survivor Packs!!! (Purchased from Exchange)

When you buy the zen promotional pack (a box) they come with a chance to win the bug ship OR the romulan survivor pack... the survivor pack has 0 chance to win the bug ship!!! read the description!!!

Captains, the following post from PWECaptainSmirk explains that the JHAS and the Lobi are only available from the packs purchased from the C-Store during the promotional period:

    What are you talking about.

    For reference, exchange bought Rom Survivor packs have zero chance to award the Bug ship or Lobi. Only C-Store purchased ones have that added bonus.

    thats the sto way of life more so in game if you post truth you get called a troll make enough of them mad they will report you spaming and you cant talk for up to 24 hours be it zone fleet any thing or untill you get a GM to remove it but that can some times take hours to maybe never

    Yes mate some people are just darned silly, although you have given me an idea as to what to do to make something out of my wasted zen whilst I shoot for the bug :D

    Well this is a change-up. You have to make a direct purchase with zen to win a chance at the JHAS, because opening one won't win you diddly squat. Cryptic could've made more of an effort to mention this change. Sneaky devils...

    Your first mistake was trying to Help players in ESD Chat..... unless you have a good Gorn Joke, or a Government conspiracy, they don't want to hear of it.

    But for those who cant read and spent a lot of ec on exchange buying the packs....hope you at least got some nice doffs

    After reading through the other posts I can see what you mean. How about you change your first post so it says what you mean?

    If you are buying Romulan Survivor Duty Officer Packs from the exchange in the hopes of winning a JHAS, please be advised that these no longer contain that ship. You can now only win a Suliban Cell Ship from them. The JHAS can only be won from the box that the Romulan Survivor Duty Officer Packs is now packaged in. For more details, refer to

    Romulan survivor packs sell for the same price they always do, which is about 2,5 mil.

    That was pretty messed up but I get why Cryptic did it like this instead of just flipping the switch like they did with the pack last year.

    Myself and many others had been stocking up on Romulan Survivor Duty Officer packs via the exchange for months hoping that the Bug promo would be brought back and now all those packs that we've been sitting on have zero chance at getting a Bug but at least there's a chance at a Cell ship in them.

    First off Cryptic has been trying to hurt the EC investors by making small changes everywhere they can.

    Second, So if you buy the new Pack, the "Promotion Romuan Survivor Pack" off the exchange, this is the new pack and will potentially yield either lobi or a JHAS?

    Well now you don't have to get a bunch of worthless and crappy DOFF's you don't need... And have to sell them to open more... And you can sell the packs!!!

    The doff packs have always sold for around 3-5mil... they are still 275 zen doff packs, with at least one blue and 50% or so of the ones I open have a purple. They still have bonus lobi in the packs, a chance to win a Cell ship or other junk... including purple mk xii consoles.

    The bug promo is yes on the cstore sale. Still people buy them off the exchange for doffs / chance to win a cell ship has been that way for a long time now.

    yeah the Z-store purchase will give you a "promotional" pack itll actually say promotion on it, those packs are sellable/tradeable and are listed in the exchange at around 8m (Pretty high for 275z but thats just my thoughts) some people are listing the basic Romulan Doff pack higher then its normal price because people think it will give a chance at the JHAS it does not.


    So yes you can buy promotional packs off exchange
    No the Romulan Doff pack does not contain a ship chance at all...Well maybe the Cell ship

    Or better yet, how about Cryptic put a 10 Million EC limit on any single item?

    I understood what Cryptic was doing, but I guess some might not read and understand it fully.
    Maybe they should have called it a Romulan Survivor Promo Bundle or something, just to differentiate it ... Oh well

    Correct. Starfleet has more idiots than KDF. Had it been in QnoS or KDF academy zone chat then you wouldn't see this behavior ;)

    By the way, you can sell Romulan Doff pack at price more or less the same as Romulan survivor pack and there is always some idiot who will buy it. Made 25 million plus some change yesterday :D I wonder if I am going to get a few angry ingame mails today when the buyer(s) will realize the mistake. Should I report them?

    Is there a way for you to go back and change the title of the thread? What you want to call out is: "Stop Buying the Romulan Survivor Packs on the Exchange!" or "Romulan Survivor Packs on the Exchange won't get you the bug ship"

    He is actually right, though. The promo pack out of the C-store is the only thing that has the chance. They changed it from last time.

    Some of the responses in this thread are hilarious.

    The first post made complete sense, and this thread is proof that no good deed goes unpunished. You can't win the JHAS without getting the promotional box. Regardless of the wording surrounding the DOFF pack part, good advice is good advice.

    And, look I am not being a jerk here, but looking at your original post...it is hard to tell exactly what you're talking about.


    Try to always adhere to the K.I.S.S. method of disseminating information, Keep It Simple Stupid. I try to remember that in many areas of life itself.

    Instead of posting in chat or here a convoluted message, just say something like:


    Romulan Survivor Packs MUST be bought from the C-Store in order to have a chance to win lobi or JHAS.
