To truly appreciate the All Blacks haka, one must hear it in the original Klingon.

(cross-posted from general, since it occurred to me that it belonged here more)

Just came across this from a semi-randomized webcrawl looking for something else (ain't that usually the best way to find neat stuff? Looking for one thing, but something else winds up being cooler than the thing you were looking for. :D )

Now... Watching this, guess what I was thinking? Go on...

Yep. KLINGONS. :D

I could totally see this as something Klingons would do before one of THEIR sporting events. I bet the Klingons and the Maori would get along quite well. Warrior culture to warrior culture. Bloodwine all around afterwards!

After all, it's not a Klingon party without a few broken bones and contusions along the way! :D

OOOOYAAAH!!! :D

Someone needs to remake this into a Klingon version, just like they did with many other things. :D
I've always liked when they do the 'Haka', a very interesting and cool tradition if you ask me. :)

On a more somber note, 2/1 Royal New Zealand Infantry Regiment bids farewell to fallen comrades with a haka:

Hakas can be very powerful emotionally, so co-opting them should be done with care if at all.
