I don't know whether this is a right forum to post suggestions but I do have an idea.
Just like in the starfleet faction, we have ship names on the hull. Why can't we have ship hull names on klingon and the romulan faction? I mean, they should not be in english alphabets but in klingon and romulan alphabets.
I don't think non-starfleet vessels have ever been shown feauturing anything like that on their hulls. That's first and foremost why

Maybe as an random feature a bird of prey could have the SS Bounty on its side. Ref: Star Trek The Voyage Home
HMS Bounty .
Norway and Yeager dammit... I still want my Typhoon and Jupiter though. JJ Trek The Kelvin Timeline is just Trek and it's fully canon... get over it. But I still prefer TAR.

Actually they have.
"The" klingon Bird of Prey model (means: the one studio model that was used for every Bird of Prey between search for spock and... well... I thing the last use was in DS9 season 3, Generations was the first new one) had Klingon letters on its hull which probably were its ship name.
Same for "the" Vor'Cha class studio model.
Don't know about Romulan ships.
But still, I'd like the idea of ship names on all hulls.

Really? That must have escaped my attention, then. But it's hard to see, I guess.
In this case I stand corrected. And am all for the OPs proposal

They are barely visible on the BoP wings, being almost the same colour as the ship (HMS Bounty was painted on, so doesn't really count). The Vor'cha, they are on the nacelle pylons. The Negh'var has some as well on the nacelle. The K't'inga has them on the upper part of the back. So assuming those are ship names, there's lots of examples for Klingon.
Galor ships have them on their nacelle wings.
Romulan ships, as far as I can see, the only model that has something is the shuttle/runabout seen in "In the Pale Moonlight". So not so much support for Romulan.
- How would the game write Klingon? Would the Letters shown the actual name? Or would the Devs "Cheat" and substitute each English Letter with a Klingon symbol. I can see some Hardcore players complaining about that.. in actual Klingon. (The same thing can be said for Romulan and Reman.)
- With the Romulan Faction, I could see the implementation being harder: Could the ship have the name painted on in English (Fed-ally), Klingon (KDF-ally), Romulan or Reman?
- Finally, how many hours would each artist needs to enable each ship to support adding this feature?

I would say that would be the stop-gap measure until they find a better answer. And for the BOPs, there should be an option at the ship tailor to have the spray-painted name of the ship in "Federation Standard" (aka English).

I'd go with the "cheating". Many games in the past did that, especially Klingon Honour Guard and Klingon Academy in which they just used a more or less alien "klingon" font to write certain stuff. I'm quite thorough when it comes to Trek fluff, but at least I think that's fair game
Romulans most likely don't paint names on their ships, at least according to the other posters here. Though I think STO could do the same for them, using "proto romulan" letters.
Your third point, however, is the reason we won't see this It's once again too much work that can't be sold, to say it blunt. And it's reasonable. As much as I disagree with the F2P model, I understand that mindset, there are still people working on that stuff. On the other hand there are many people on these forums claiming "if you include (minor adjustment) I'd gladly pay 50 $ for that" to counter this, and quite frankly I think this is wrong. Luckily, Cryptic doesn't give in to that, yet. We shouldn't promote the whole f2p microtransaction rip-off stuff even further and pay hundreds and thousands of bucks for a single game.

You have to look up the actual studio model. But they're there.
