Sorry, John. Cryptic hasn't listened to us who've been here since Beta they're not going to listen to a guy with one post to his name.
I really dont expect them to listen but I know what will happen if I do nothing. Most likely these decisions are being made by somebody in marketing that does not understand or even like Star Trek at all.
They could called it a temporal ship from yesterdays Enterprise, that ship was classified as a battleship. Put it in a drop box, that would be something I would actually be willing to buy keys for.
BTW, I have posted before, life time account, and started at beta too. My posting / information data reset when my account changed from Cryptic to Perfect World.
If it's desperation, it's god damn working, brother. There are Gal-Xs crawling all over the place. I just went into an SB Defense with a team of all Gal-Xs (minus a low level Akira) and we kicked butt, so don't judge a book by its off-centered-lanced cover.
That might not be entirely accurate, a lot of us have simply broken out our dusty old Gal-X's to play around with the "revamp". So far I'm not impressed- the hangar has not provided much of a bonus (though it is fun to play with) and the other changes are also rather unimpressive. I still have the same gripes with it that I had when I bought it, but it's a fun ship so I'll fly it around until the novelty wears off again and then it will go back to collecting dust until Cryptic gets around to addressing the boff layout.
Actually there should be a lot more stuff....
Sovereign refit being the TNG movie ship, Akira being featured first in a TNG movie....
.... and if they are making a TNG event, how about finally adding TNG ground weapons? Mhm...
YES
I want a "TNG"/"ST First Contact" Thompson (TM) submachine gun! i.e. something that the Borg drones can NEVER adapt to in ground combat --- it worked quite well for Picard.
Maybe the devs could set up a Holographic NPC vendor named "Nicky The Nose" that sells it for Lobi:D
This would have been a perfect time to include a release of the Skant and the TNG Dress uniforms.
In return for the release of the skant, not only would I install Arc on all of my computers, including the ones I do not use for gaming, I would also break into people's homes and forcibly install Arc on their computers. If there is anything synonymous with Star Trek, it is the skant. Not the Enterprise, not phasers, not Kirk or Picard, Vulcans or Klingons, but the skant.

It's possible that the borg can adapt to it given time. I believe they were taken by surprise and thats why Picard didnt use a replicator to recreate another one to use to take all the borg out

Looks like a cool deal. Too bad I can't purchase any of it because my Fed is only lvl 6. I get not being able to use it until Vice Admiral, but to not even be able to purchase it seems silly to me.
You might be in luck that this weekend is a Double XP weekend--you may be able to get your character up to level by Monday if you push it.
Were excited to announce that from now until 10AM PDT on Monday, March 10, 2014, we will be running a sale on a great selection of Star Trek: The Next Generation (TNG) themed C-Store items, for 20% off their normal price!
It last tills Monday morning till.. 11 am time.. plenty of time to run to the bank and deposit money in my.. oh wait.. nope..rats for having a job/ wife/ kid...
Hey captainsmirk. Since the sale is for the galaxy pack including the dreadnaught from the episode AGT shouldn't the uniform for that should be discounted since it's tng too?
Were excited to announce that from now until 10AM PDT on Monday, March 10, 2014, the following Star Trek: The Next Generation (TNG) themed C-Store items are 20% off!:
Federation Exploration Cruiser Refit: Venture Class
Federation Exploration Cruiser Retrofit
Federation Dreadnought Cruiser
(NEW!) Galaxy Bundle (contains the 3 ships listed above at a discount)
The Next Generation Season One Uniform
The Next Generation Uniform
Galaxy Bridge Variants (3) Bridge Pack
Counselor Troi Uniform
TNG Romulan Uniform
Maybe if we get 500+ replies we'll get them to change their minds lol
I checked the sale in the store, the AGT uniforms and the TNG Command Variant - why are those not also on sale?
Well http://sto-forum.perfectworld.com/showpost.php?p=15543711&postcount=56 Captain Smirk suggested the All Good Things uniform be included in the sale but he can't tell us why it wasn't. My guess is that they expected it to be popular to go with the Dreadnaught Cruiser since the ship and uniform are from the same time period and episode and they wanted to get full price for it. Or perhaps they plan on something special for the uniform later. No idea.
As for the TNG command variant shirt, it is included in the open jackets pack and not sold by itself. The open jackets pack has a lot of non-TNG stuff, such as open jacket variants of most 25th century jackets, TNG films, DS9, etc.
I just had a thought, It would have been cool to release the venture skin for the Nebula too with this bundle.
I though I even read they were working on this too along with the Saucer sep for the X.
That and the Monarch-skin for the Gal-X would have made up for some of the other issues. You know, showing some kind of actual work, rather than a bug fix and a few changed database entries.
Our sale on TNG themed items has now ended. We hope you enjoyed this sale, and grabbed yourself some great Next Gen items, like one of the uniforms or Galaxy Class ships!

See that, but I don't see the bundle being visible for you.
You will still see the individual ships.
