Okay, I don't actually have a STO character named Captain Canadia. But I kind of wish I did 
So I kind of posted an intro already but in a pretty obscure thread in Ten Forward, so I thought I'd do something a little more visible.
Name's Travis, go by @lauscho on STO as (at present) Lt. Cmdr Wade Haggard (12) on the U.S.S. Capreol. I'm from Sudbury, Ontario, which I already described as basically being the real world equivalent of living in a Malon freighter's exhaust port, except with more nature.
I'm a musician, play a variety of noisemakers that plug into things and magically get saved as waveforms to my computer. Got me a nice little progressive rock thing going on.
Been playing STO for a couple of weeks now, loving the hell out of it, it's so big and there's so much to do and I haven't gotten bored enough with it to put it down yet! So far, my favourite social hub (and overall place to be in game) is DS9, so many nice folks out there! Been a Trek fan as long as I can remember, though. Sometimes, I consider the show more spiritually important to me than any church I've ever set foot in. I'm not about to start a Church of Trek or anything, but it had a pretty profound impact on my life and I've taken many good lessons from it.
