What is the difference between shield regeneration and shield Healing?

    Shield Regeneration is the natural healing that occurs over time as indicated by a particular shield's "regeneration rate". Obviously regenerative shields and shields with the [reg] mod will excel in this area, but regenerative shields generally have the lowest capacity.

    Shield Healing is active healing generally obtained through Boff abilities like Emergency Power to Shields (EPtS) or Transfer Shield Strength.

    Both are important to ship survivability, but generally active healing is preferable to regeneration because if you have to wait for your shields to regenerate, you're probably already dead.
