Just wondering if any of y'all have got into the beta.
I've played about an hour, seems pretty good! It's got Skyrims atmosphere nailed down pretty well IMO, and the soundtrack is pretty good. The questing is a little difficult (In that, it's not very clearly marked out who you have to go to..)
The main reason i got a key was to investigate how good it's character creator was compared to STOs...
Pretty much equal IMO, some stuff looks great, some stuff looks like it's painted on...
As much as I like Skyrim (I like Morrowind even more), I cannot bring myself to pay $15 per month for an online game that's $180 per year. I think it's $13 per month if paying several months in advance for a total of $156 per year. Still a lot...
The only game I can imagine myself subscribing to is Star Citizen because it has been an extremely long time since I played a space combat flight simulation game and Star Citizen is supposed to be using almost real Newtonian physics in the game.
As an Elder Scrolls fan the only reason I would play this is because it is part of the Elder Scrolls series. That said I am not playing it this weekend as I already have been in Beta's and know enough to have judged it for my own opinions.
The games biggest issues for me is when it combines aspects of B2P (box price) with a sub model while also have elements of F2P with a cash shop and timers to do basic stuff like enchanting researches. Had this been a pure b2P model with paid expansions I would be all over it like a rash and have bought the Imperial pack but as it is now I will not go near it.
That said I could see this potentially being a magnet for PvP fans as it will likely evolve to be a fantasy version of EVE.
