Look, I still like the Omega STFs, but frankly most people are long finished with the Omega grind. Almost all the other space missions offer you a choice between fleet marks or that reputation's mark... it's time the STFs did the same.
As nice as it may be to have a choice, a snowballs chance in a volcano they would do that, nobody would play fleet missions again. What is needed is for fleet missions to give better reward. For all the gear they are making available from fleet holdings, they need to keep people up with an easier supply of FC's than they have now if they want more people to buy zen for dil bought fleet gear.

People don't generally play them NOW, so nothing would change. At least fleets would have something worth doing together, cuz those missions aren't it.
Please, let's not get people to reconsider STF rewards. Considering that these rewards are based on an assumption of 15-20 minute playtime, while they are being completed in between 5 and 1 minutes, these days, you might not like the results.
I would love to see a choice of marks in more missions. I for one, stick to Khitomer Vortex, Crystalline, Deferi and Starbase Defense. All other ones seem like not a great return on investment.

You can probably get marks faster by doing colony and fleet alert than you can doing starbase defense.
Several members of my fleet pretty much run one thing and one thing only for fleet marks: No Win Scenario. They create a private queue and run it all the way to the end of the 9th wave, then leave the map before the 10th starts. Because marks are awarded at the end of each completed wave they're getting the rewards, and because it's a private instance they aren't incurring the cooldown timer on the mission for completion/failure, allowing them to instantly start it up again. 250 or so marks each time with no cooldown.
I don't agree with or partake of the above strategy (I don't like the mission concept of No Win to begin with, and the above is pretty clearly an exploit), and I think it's indicative of the fact that certain missions just aren't worth doing, so players latch on to particular missions and just run those. Why run Fleet Alert for maybe 50 with a half hour cooldown when you can run No Win for 5 times as much in about the same time frame with no cooldown? We need more varied ways to get fleet marks so people are more willing to run different types of missions instead of just one or two over and over again, and some existing missions could really do with a reward boost to make them more appealing.
STFs awarding either Omega or Fleet Marks could be a good idea. I created a new toon recently and I really need Omega Marks for a fair number of equipment pieces, but it's hard to get my fleet mates away from Fleet Mark missions because that's the only thing they really need at this point. Adding Fleet Marks as a potential reward to STFs would help me and others in my position.

Okay, but on one condition: ALL FAs give Fleet Marks as an alternative to rep marks (and some for completing Gorn Minefield or Klingon Scout Force wouldn't hurt either) and the queue window is updated to give a better idea of what marks you get as a reward (as opposed to the vague "choice of marks" tip).
+ 1, I would like fleet marks available for my STFs (my main have EVERY Omega accomplishment and unlock as well as gear) I would like a reason to fly these other than just to parse my DPS...
Maybe Romulan marks since they are ridiculous to get.... (and yes I have 4 chars maxxed on that rep too but I will never touch another Epohh either appropriately or inappropriately again)
Not wanting to break anything or sprout heresy but ... Why do we even need Fleet Marks?
They have no purpose whatsoever!
You can do nothing with them except exchange them for Fleet Credits, so why not just award Fleet Credits?
Reputation Marks, I can understand as you can exchange them directly of Rep XP and equipment, but Fleet Marks?
Anyway, it's unlikely to be implemented simply because it would bite into one of PWE's STO cash cows ... Namely: Zen --> Dilithium --> Fleet Credits
Because every fleet project in existance gobbles Fleet Marks down by the hundreds if not thousands. If you have a capped out fleet that's one thing but if you're trying to grow a fleet you need them ... lots and lots of them.

people would be playing pretty much nothing except ise 24/7 and queues that are long to pop would take even longer.

If its on a 1 hour cooldown as it currently is, nothing would change, they woudl still have to play other STF's to kill that hour.
