Quantum Singularity Manipulation Question

This is about the Tier 5 Romulan Reputation ability.

What happens when you activate this ability while already cloaked? Do you uncloak then re-cloak as the ability begins, and then decloak again afterwards? Do you stay cloaked, and then uncloak after the ability has run its course, or do you stay cloaked the entire time?

I am trying to decide if this ability is worth grinding the rep all the way out to T5.

Ultimately you'll stay cloaked. It'll go through the distortion effects of both cloaking and decloaking, but won't effect your actual cloaked status.

Its is worth the grind? Well, it's a panic button for when you're recieving too much aggro, so it's up to you. Extra panic buttons never hurt.

This is not just a panic button, although most people I play against use it as such which is a shame.
