I feel I am quite late in making a thread like this
I've been around for awhile in STO, but not much of a forum poster
I have wanted to say that I really enjoy the Elachi content the game has introduced since LoR dropped last year.
I actually enjoyed those aliens from their one and only appearance in ST: ENT and wished they were expanded upon. You guys did a great job expanding them
I own both the S'Golth and the Monbosh, and the entire Elachi Silent Enemy space set. I loved fighting these guys on the ground and in space and on land.
I find it a shame, in my perspective, that more people didn't take to the Elachi as much... but when you base a whole story arc and set to a species from a slightly controversial Star Trek's first season, it seems very obscure thing to do and risky to make so much content around.
But congrats on having the balls to do it!
I hope to see more of the Elachi storylines unfold in the upcoming progression of the story in STO, and not just the Iconians and Solanae.
I am mainly a fan of DS9 and the Dominion in prime Trek, but for some reason I've been really drawn to the Elachi aspect as well.
They represent to me the classic old skool aliens, the ones who truly looked alien, and the ones were likely to abduct you in the middle of the night and experiment on you.
Thank you again guys! You guys need more positive feedback to realize your efforts are not going to waste.
"Critics who say that the optimistic utopia Star Trek depicted is now outmoded forget the cultural context that gave birth to it: Star Trek was not a manifestation of optimism when optimism was easy. Star Trek declared a hope for a future that nobody stuck in the present could believe in. For all our struggles today, we haven’t outgrown the need for stories like Star Trek. We need tales of optimism, of heroes, of courage and goodness now as much as we’ve ever needed them." -Thomas Marrone
Well, they are a one-off alien from a unremarkable season of the least beloved series upstaging the Romulans-one of the most beloved Trek species, and aren't terribly fun to fight either, to boot. It shouldn't come as that much of a surprise that they aren't loved more.
I enjoyed the Elachi storyline. I found it fun and entertaining. Regardless of what series they came from or whether or not they menaced our heroes on a weekly basis.
A six year old boy and his starship. Living the dream.

Whole heartily agree. I loved the escort as soon as I saw in STE....which KIND of reminds me of a Stealth Fighter..... fighter jet | coolwallpaperz only WAY better looking
I like them, they make for an interesting alternative to pew pew, similar to the Voth in that respect.
Norway and Yeager dammit... I still want my Typhoon and Jupiter though. JJ Trek The Kelvin Timeline is just Trek and it's fully canon... get over it. But I still prefer TAR.

'...I can tell you that we're not in the military and that we intend no harm to the whales.' Kirk: The Voyage Home
'Starfleet is not a military organisation. Its purpose is exploration.' Picard: Peak Performance
'This is clearly a military operation. Is that what we are now? Because I thought we were explorers!' Scotty: Into Darkness
'...The Federation. Starfleet. We're not a military agency.' Scotty: Beyond
'I'm not a soldier anymore. I'm an engineer.' Miles O'Brien: Empok Nor
'...Starfleet could use you... It's a peacekeeping and humanitarian armada...' Admiral Pike: Star Trek
The elachi are my second favorite enemy to fight behind the tholians. They're awesome, unique, creepy, challenging, and truly alien. We need more of both of these races, but especially the elachi!

They weren't on Voyager.
I found them very interesting to fight. and really not that hard after I learned what their tactics and abilities were.
