I've seen Scimitars that do 30k dps or more. Does anyone have an example build?

He's asking for DPS not max one-hit damage.

    Mal's 83k DPS build:
    http://www.stoacademy.com/tools/skillplanner/?build=%20hulksscimbuildnew2_0

That's not even close to 83k sustained dps in an estf. And it's missing a console...

You can get up to around 50k with a full team of Romulan Plasma Scimitars, hitting deeply debuffed borg. That's about the current limit.

^This pretty much took my dps from 5k to 19k, in my Avenger.

Thanks for sharing the build, I just have one question if I may?
Why max out Starship Particle Generators? Is it for TBR?

    Thanks in advance.

While this is a pretty big part of your dps, your teammates will effect it a lot too.

If you have ****ty teammates barely making 2k dps each, the stf will prob take 4-5 mins and you end up with 20k dps.

if you have good team mates with high dps, completing the stf in 1-2 minutes, your dps will be in the 40-80k region.

    im using this one http://www.stoacademy.com/tools/skillplanner/?build=hulksrecommendation2_0

Its geared/skilled a little for PvP, but its been hitting high 20s even with pugs, and im sure with a solid group and the right timings it hits 30s and possibly even 40s soon.

Im not into really going all out DPS myself, but its a side project I work on on occasion. Im not really a hardcore PvE player, so I dont have the timings some of those 30k+ guys do.

It is absolutely devastating in PvP, however.

For lack of a better thing to do, I mirrored your build just to see what it's like. Yeah, it's pretty decent for PVE.

Then I decided, what the hell, lets go pug a pvp and see what happens...

    Sweet jesus, you weren't kidding.

As of now, I usually do 20k ... last time I did my usual ISE parsing to test stuff out, I did 22k ( but they've told me that ACT has got a 2k margin of error, so let's say 20k )
Here's the screen of that parsing = http://i.imgur.com/jjWYFgh.jpg
    and here's my build = http://www.stoacademy.com/tools/skillplanner/index.php?build=romskills_5651

I am a Romulan tac, with 4 superior romulan operative boffs.
My Doffs are 3 purple technicians, 1 blue hazard system officer which gives me damage resistance after activating brace for impact ( since I almost always in front of my targets) and a blue warp core engineer cleanser ( but I'd like to replace one of the last 2 with Law to see what happens).
I don't have Marion F. Dulmur yet ... in fact, I have some kind of energy issues, that is ... I've noticed that anytime I take that torpedo out of my build .. my DPS drops by about 5k ... that happened when I tried 5 dual beam banks in front ( even with the flowcap embassy console) and when I tried a beam arrays build together with the torp ( that time without the flowcap embassy console) .
I am starting to think that , yes, crits are important, but energy levels are as well important if not maybe more.
I must confess that I don't use weapons battery quite often, because of the long 2 minutes cooldown, to spare that shield battery to pop when **** gets bad ... and maybe that's a mistake of mine.
A couple of friends of mine from the game told me that this Marion Doff is over-rated ... that I should just use the weapon batteries but judging solely from his price at the exchange, he's gotta be worth something :D:P
    Open to suggestions.

Marion is a must it will stop your wep power from dropping under 125 for 8 seconds when you hit any DEM. I'm trying out a build on a Galor (I know it'll never do what the Schimi can do but its more fun :)) When you chain that DEM with your alpha and FoMM its priceless well rather its wow just wow.

In short Marion is worth it, just dont try and build a schimi on the Klingon side cos you'll be out over 200Mill EC on doffs easily.

Hey ijimithy I have done 19,036 DPS in an ISE with my Galor So they can get up there!

I was wondering though, I use DEM3 and EP2W1. I was wondering though, Marion only grants an 8 second energy drain buff. EPTW3 gives the 16.6% damage increase, and a +35ish weapons power for 30 seconds. If running 2 copies of EP2W you are at a 30-45 second cool down before reactivating. DEM3 is much longer at over a minute.

If you are talking strait damage wouldn't the power buff and dmg increase of EP2W3 out perform DEM/Marion? Then again I have seen some posts on here that have said anything over EP2W1 was useless.

    EP2W,A2B,RSP,DEM3
    EP2W,A2B

    or

    EP2W, A2B,EP2W3,RSP
    EP2X,A2b
I use to do 100K DPS, but then I took an arrow to the knee.

Obviously PVE only, and I don't use DEM w/ Marrion, but I do use Aux2bat with 3 technicians.

Marion is probably the least cost efficient thing you can get for your build and hardly a must.

What's going to kill you the sphere that lives for 1 second? The cube that lives for 2? I don't think so.

    *numbers may be exaggerated

That's way too generous. They'd both be dead in half that time. I'm kidding.

Not if you are running an 80K dps scimitar during an alpha strike.. ;)

Heal by damage, if the thing causing you damage isn't there any more, than its no longer causing you damage. Valdore, Borg 2-Piece Set, Nimbus and Quantum Abortion are your friend, buy them, grind them, use them. Essential science abilities, Hazard Emitters, Transfer Shield Strength (or now Science Team) and Polarize Hull are an amazing trifecta. To Aux2Batt or not to Aux2Batt, the Scimitar will work either way, but there are trade offs to either methods. You are a Romulan, stack Crit like there is no tomorrow (Superiors Romulan Operatives, Tachyon Converter, Bionueral Infuser, Assimilated Console, anything in the rep that adds to chance or severity, etc.) and use cloaking damage/movement bonuses.

Romulanes have enough Playthings (especially after they have Rep5) to compensate for "squishiness" ;) Pugging with it is not a problem, even Hive you can do with not dying (pretty hard to position yourself, but doable).
