Sidekicking now has an infinite range on any map.
This means sidekicking settings will not stop working if you are a far distance away from your team member on the same map.

Bwuh?... .. really? Thank you!

Seriously, I have been wanting and asking for this change for... since before Legacy of Romulus. :D

we Will Be Bringing Down The Tribble Server For Maintenance To Apply A New Update: St.36.20140207a.3

    general:
    • new Ship Materials:
      • the Following Klingon Ships Now Have Access To The "type 3" Material:
        • b'rotlh Class Bird Of Prey

Won't do much good for me if the Fleet B'rel can't use the B'ortlh costume. The Retrofit B'rel works fine, but the Fleet B'rel can't use it. Or at least mine can't, but I don't really have a way to delete and reclaim the Fleet B'rel without wasting more zen.

When are you guys going to fix the KDF costume issues. I personally don't have a KDF character but I am sick of seeing it as a listed known issue for weeks on end.

Please fix it the KDF players are not happy about this as it has been going on for months.

Tell me about it, my KDF character has been wearing honorguard for months.

Yes, I appreciate that the devs are trying to give us another skin for our ships, but this doesn't do the serious players any good whatsoever if we have to discharge our ships to get the new visuals.

Most of the serious players (the ones who keep putting time and money into STO) have purchased fleet versions of our ships ... which currently cannot be reclaimed once discharged.

So, the devs need to do one of two things:

    1) Make the new hull skin/costume work on our current ships without needing to discharge and reclaim the ships.

    or

    2) Make it so that once we purchase a fleet ship we can discharge and reclaim it as many times as we want without having to pay for the ship each time.

Just out of curiosity, is it the Honor Guard Armor that you're stuck in also broken and lacking the Be'Ves option? Most of the KDF players are also mad that the Be'Ves armor option isn't working.

Nothing more fun than being stuck in one outfit AND being reminded that you spent time grinding for a costume that is now broken and missing one of the visual elements of the costume.

Resolved an issue that was causing Voyager to occasionally appear incorrectly in missions where it was not assigned.

Any chance you could Un-fix this? Some friends and I were doing a Pi Cannis run with our klinks a week or so ago, and we encountered Voyager.

Reducing that well known federation ship to space dust was a proud moment for our Klingon captains. In fact we spent a good ten minutes trying to find the record of Voyager exploding in our combat logs so that we could screenshot it. ... Sadly we couldn't find it in the log, there was too much spam from feedback pulse...

Any way, my point was, we really enjoyed the opportunity to destroy voyager. If you could re-introduce this, and maybe a few other well known federation ships as rare encounters on the Pi Cannis run I think most people would appreciate the opertunity to earn glory for the empire.

[*]These material options are free of charge.
[*]If the material option isn't available, the ship may need to be discharged and then reclaimed. ** Ships can only be reclaimed if they have been purchased from the C-Store. **

You might want to edit this and change the color of the font so players with their rose colored glasses don?t mistake this for all ships and start creating I was confused or it was not clearly pointed out threads

I have changed the information on what type of ships can be reclaimed for the ship material additions. Only C-store ship can be discharged and reclaimed for free.

Yeah, we know that. So what happens if it doesn't show on my B'rel Retrofit (700 Day token ship) - tough luck, I don't get that skin?

I can only assume that it's very difficult to let the new skins just show up, otherwise this implementation doesn't make much sense.

I still hope that unlocking the skins once will do so for all eligible ships in an account.

While I understand the complain of many people about the new skins, I also understand the technical issue. In many mmos I've seen, having change like that being applied on old items is difficult, and even impossible sometimes.
So you can be frustrated, but there is nothing they can do.

Also, it's free skins. It won't change anything if you can't use them, and otherwise it's free.

Enjoy the gift, or not. No sense in complaining about it.

Could the DujHod Chariot receive this material option as well?

Also, I don't see the Negh'var or the Vo'Quv on the list. Why?

KDF captains cannot switch to all costume slots.

At this point you should really put a warning in the C-Store for the costume slot purchase option, and just a general footnote to the game in general that we're wasting our money buying costume slots for the KDF because it's been months now and still it just gets listed as a known issue.

Well now when its the rest of the broken ones going to be fixed and I do include the Intrepid nacelles that are in the wrong position in Sector space.

or perhaps the weapon positions on the fleet star cruiser (nomad design) and also the clipping and paint not matching up on the others.

So? They didn't receive the new skind and I just wonder why. All FED ships have gotten the Type 5 material, while only some of the KDF ships have gotten the Type 3. And considering that the material looks way better on all the old ships than on the Mogh itself, it's kind of a pitty not all classes got it.

The KDF Type 3 material is there as a counterpart to the FED Type 6 and ROM Type 3, it's the 'refit' skin added to 'new' KDF 2409 style ships. Everything on the list of ship that get KDF type 3 are new, timeline wise (list says K't'inga, ingame shows Koro't'inga has the type 3 material).

FED type 5 material is probably just them giving the old mirror texture a quick revamp to fill the gap in the Fed customization options.

Fed Type 5 is for "all" Fed ships. No allied ships, but all Fed ships.

Fed Type 3 is for "some" KDF ships. No allied ships, and only about half of the Klingon ships.

Neither skin is very compelling, they are pretty basic textures with unchangable colors.

The following quote explains it quite well.

Just to clarify, my earlier "complaint" was about parts that I paid for not showing up on my ship, despite working fine on the "lesser" model of the same ship. It's not about a "free gift", it's about not receiving services that have been paid for.

    • The Constellation saucer is no longer available to be used on Heavy Cruisers.
    • This option should not have been available.

I now fully intend to not change my ship costume.

I mounted it onto my Heavy cruiser and intend to not change it again, either. ;)

I can see why they didn't want to release it (yet). Currently it doesn't seem to have any weapon hardpoints. All weapon fire will come from the nacelles and pylons when you have the constellation saucer equipped, with beams and projectiles clipping through it.
