Getting Fleet Marks from Defera and PvE is getting dry. We used to have Nukara with fleet marks, that was fun, but Cryptic took it out
Have you guys thought about having a Fleet Mark Battlezone?
Fleet Marks, Romulan Marks, Nukara Marks their all hard to get because there are not very much people playing it or they do Dyson Sphere or go for Omega STF....
So I hope Cryptic has an solution fast because the OP is not the only one It's just hard to get these days !!!
I wish they had an exchange for Marks or something so you could trade Romulan Mark for Fleet Marks or Nukara Marks or Omega Marks for whatever mark is out there or buy marks with Dilithium
Just a Suggestion

"Coffee: the finest organic suspension ever devised. It's got me through the worst of the last three years. I beat the Borg with it."
This may be a silly idea but what about doing away with fleet marks alltogether and allowing one to cash in marks of any reputation for fleet. Or maybe keep fleet marks but allow others to fleet projects as well?
I understand why devs would not want to make you earn dyson rep with borg marks, etc....but one could argue that a fleet exists to support its faction in all such actions and as a result, all reputation marks would have value to a fleet.
Also, agree with the guy who said that all related content should drop some marks....ie a few marks for doing a borg mission, etc. We already kinda get that with the dyson adventure zones.
I think every Mission you do specifically with your Fleetmates should drop some Fleet Marks. So if your Fleetmates team-up to do the Breen FE then each mission pays out some FMs. That would encourage more play within your Fleet.
STO is about my Liberated Borg Federation Captain with his Breen 1st Officer, Jem'Hadar Tactical Officer, Liberated Borg Engineering Officer, Android Ops Officer, Photonic Science Officer, Gorn Science Officer, and Reman Medical Officer jumping into their Jem'Hadar Carrier and flying off to do missions for the new Romulan Empire. But for some players allowing a T5 Connie to be used breaks the canon in the game.
I grew bored of the Dyson Battlezone after playing once.

I can see a niche for a fleet mark based activity of some sort like this.
Once you have a toon maxed out rep and level wise, fleet stuff is what you log them in for and, pretty much by definition, they've gone through most of the current content already.
What I'd like to see is fleet marks added in to a few places.
Karrett comes to mind.
Why not a small amount of fleet marks for each piece of E you take out in the PvPvE arena?
I'm always up for more content, but fleet marks are already easy enough to get through NWS farming (at 242 for reaching wave 10, I can usually farm about 1200 in an hour, not counting my teammates. Winning it gets 346 I think) NWS seems a daunting task at first, but it's really not that hard if you know what to do - my sci with no rep gear can handle the hardest flank - it just takes some practice.
Personally I'd rather see an easier way to get Romulan marks outside of seasonal events or ugh..chasing bunnies.

Ground NWS would be cool too
As good as this sounds, pugs rarely make it past wave 5.
Was going to say, NWS is a fm battlezone. As for pugs....don't pug it. A bit of effort is all it takes. Nevertheless there are other ways to get fm like fleet alert and colony invasion which are pug friendly.

I agree, though the idea of some more fleet mark content would be nice.
Also I'd be happy to take any tips you can offer on NWS,(my best is wave 7) I have tac rom scimitar (not my best imo, but working on it). And tac fed Jem dread (just my better builds) and just started a sci toon while ago, hoping to use the new dyson set, but atm using a fleet nebula sci ship.
I also agree on the idea of a better way of getting rom marks for us who like our "pew pew" more than as this guy said chasing bunnies or finding squids. Yeah the patrols are there and nebula but omega, nukara and dyson are SO much easier to fit into ones daily routine.

Defera pretty much is the Fleet Mark Battlezone. :P
But yeah it's getting harder and harder to earn Fleet Marks since nobody is doing the Fleet Queues anymore (especially on the Klingon side, that queues been empty for months). At this rate they do need to revise the Fleet system so small fleets can advance.

I totally agree with you, I feel that way now, especially KDF side. The fleet mark system is stale...

Stale and overused. We been playing in the same arenas for nearly 2 years now. It's almost paralleling the PvPers wanting new arenas for the past 4 years.
I understand the concept behind fleet marks, but IMO the implementation was pitiful. Fleet marks should be earned by doing any content in the game. Same as OMEGA, Romulan, Dyson and Nukara marks. Doing any Borg related missions? Earn OMEGA marks. Any Romulan missions? Romulan marks.
I wouldn't mind a system similar to what they did in CoH with Prestige. So long as you were in a supergroup and had supergroup mode enabled, you earned prestige which could be put toward group projects. This allowed people to play content they enjoyed, not marshal them into a couple of repetitive grind missions.
I think every Mission you do specifically with your Fleetmates should drop some Fleet Marks. So if your Fleetmates team-up to do the Breen FE then each mission pays out some FMs. That would encourage more play within your Fleet.
Likewise, I wish they rewarded Commendation XP outside of DOFF assignments.
Doesn't have to be much... just a recognition on Cryptic's part that content and rewards are inter-related and making rewards available across a wider spectrum of content actually encourages people to spend time in the game doing whatever it is they feel like doing.
I'm not saying anything as silly as fighting Tal Shiar should get you Omega marks just because the word 'Borg' was used in the mission, or that you can play whatever you want and get your choice of rewards.

I still miss Nukara for FMs. I don't get why Defera has fleet marks anyway. They removed it from Nukara because they claim those marks were supposed to be for missions you can solo. Why does Defera reward more FMs than Omega marks anyway?
I always thought it would be nice if once you've completed Tier 5 of a reputation it would unlock a choice for that specific mark or Fleet Marks instead. For example the Tau Dewa daily could be turned in for FMs.
I like that idea about teaming with fleet members would reward you with some bonus FMs at the end of any mission.
The problem with the marks missions/arenas is that all, except the STF (Borg) ones, they are not designed with long-term playability and rewards.
For example, Nukara, Romulan, Fleet , Dyson and such you gain very few marks per minute in space compared to what you earn in ground. This is because the space missions take too long and reward very little marks for the time and effort. Plus they're on a timer.
The ground battlezones give a much higher reward of marks per minute...but unlike the space missions, you have to find a team on your own -and- you cannot complete these missions (on hard/elite..the only way to earn acceptable marks per time spent) on your own. The result is people go to Deferi or Nukara and can't get a group.
Why can they not get a group? Because the bulk of the playerbase is in the newest battlezone OR in space STFs.
...and why do people still rabidly do space STFs? Dilithium. Those missions grant a decent amount of dilithium and sometimes some good loot.
Fleet mark missions in space and ground are horrible... just horrible to grind through and the reward is a miserable amount of marks. Deferi gives you like 250 marks by doing all 4 dailys in hard mode... thats a very miserable amount of marks considering fleet items cost a LOT of fleet credits.
My suggestion is simple:
- Make ALL space and ground missions give boxes that let players choose the marks they want to receive. Players should also be allowed to choose dilithium or any form of XP as a reward as well (instead of marks).
- Re-design all the arenas to be like Dyson. There are zones of control which ANY player, without having to team up, can enter and contribute to the overall victory.
I agree, though the idea of some more fleet mark content would be nice.

for the most part it's just knowing where/when things warp in, getting the hang of pushing waves back then grav welling them, and timing your buffs. once you have a bit of practice it's really super easy
Why not allow Foundry authors to offer Fleet and Rep Marks? Provided the content was relevant = Borg maps reward Omega Marks etc. Or Fleet/Faction specific maps gave Fleet Marks ...
Wouldn't that relieve some of the repetition and boredom of the current maps?
If they implemented an "xxxxx Mark Approved" system, where a map must be checked and verified as having appropriate content and proper playability, difficulty and rewards, so that instead of doing the ESTF's over and over so that you know them so well, they are just a chore and not a challenge any more, you could choose an approved Foundry map for the same rewards?
if they removed the damn competitive nature, we're all supposed to be on the same side, i'd play more content in this game. i don't take efficient paths or use the best weapons. it's kinda annoying to not be awarded because you didn't play like a robot. It should just be a random thing.

Drop a borg probe? Get a fleet mark.
Drop a sphere, get three.
A cube, five.
A structure, two.
Or something like that.

All fleet-related activities, fleet marks. Borg, Omega. Rom, Rom. Tholian, Nukara.

I can't really say anything the walkthrough here does't

when I first started playing nws I'd keep the wave breakdown open on a second monitor, it was helpful.
