With some of the crazy outfits I've seen we might as well go all the way with hats too.

Traditional prostitution and by extension the concept of "pimps" were deemed obsolete in 2144, after the great Players Ball Accord was signed.

    Sure why not.

We've already got dozens of utterly ridiculous costume combination possibilities in game. And STO is seriously lacking in headgear.

Could use a few more helmet items, while we're at it. Personal shield or not, only a fool willingly goes onto the battlefield with his head exposed.
Arc is garbage. End of discussion.

A pimp hat, Are you serious. really. Like the Devs don't have enough troubles trying to keep the game online for us. Working on the bugs just to add a useless hat. I say you want a pimp hat buy one at the store and wear it while you play.

I vote Robin Hood hats/outfits too, while we're at it.

Only if I can get the Ophidian Cane turned into a proper pimp cane to match it. Otherwise, no deal.

Should I worry that I DO own the Pimp Hat AND the Robin Hood Hat?

Also, the Indiana Jones Hat, the Mad Bomber Hat, the Ranger/Scout Hat, a Chef's Hat, countless Baseball Hats...

I really want a Deerslayer, too.

Being a Nausicaan, I'd love a hat strongly inspired by the Predator helmet. And when I say strongly inspired, I mean a direct rip off.

He means a wide brim fedora, usually with a feather.

And I'd be all for the hats from "A Piece of the Action" being added, fedoras and boater hats.

Toss in a doublebreasted rework of the existing formal wear with finer pinstriping.

Any of the ladies' outfits from that episode and a tommygun, of course.

Maybe start doing these as "one episode wonder" bundles with an alien style of dress and a piece of gear (would love full kits).

Sadly, there is a lack of head gear as it is. Not a lot of choices, really.

That said, a lot of the pressure for costumes could be alleviated if:

    A) Get rid of the classifications. Leave them there for sorting purposes, but allow people to mix and match. If I want a Zoot Suit with a grenade bandolier, wtf not?

    B) Open up the color wheel - or allow different palette options for every piece so we can better match.

I would very much like to get the film Noir style look for a toon, They often wore hats when playing in the holodeck if memory serves me right

On a more serious note, A hat with our ships Name and Registry a bit like this http://en.memory-alpha.org/wiki/Starfleet_uniform_(22nd_century)?file=NX-01_hat.jpg

And just for laughs, i want this when fighting the borg http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?start=100&safe=off&rlz=1C1GIGM_enGB566GB566&es_sm=93&biw=1440&bih=775&tbm=isch&tbnid=05HcMAToHKAW6M%3A&imgrefurl=http%3A%2F%2Fhoydenabouttown.com%2F20100808.7940%2Fsudden-fansquee-sunday%2F&docid=6bRo5Qdr9jNxCM&imgurl=http%3A%2F%2Flh3.ggpht.com%2F_04xrYUMQzNk%2FTF35xFdN07I%2FAAAAAAAAEQU%2FCuXRQ69VIPA%2Fstng-bridge-hats.jpg&w=500&h=374&ei=xML6UsinGYLy7Abs3oD4DQ&zoom=1&ved=0CAsQhBwwAjhk&iact=rc&dur=344&page=5&ndsp=26

(heh...someone put the Queen in there. Bad Google!)

Personally, I'd be all for the Enterprise series jumpers getting a baseball-style hat to go with them.

I wouldn't mind seeing the more military style hats like what the military around the world uses. There is plenty to choose from there. Specially the dress hats. And for the women I still want to see hair bands. The Vulcan from Trek 6 had one on. Not to mention Ginen from TNG wore a crazy hat too.

Aye. But the pimp makes the hat, not vice-versa. Just ask Huggy Bear. Both of'em. ;)

OP, I couldn't agree with you more. This game needs some stylish hats, and your idea of the "pimp hat" is exactly what players like myself have been wishing for. I'm glad you put my desires into words.

If players demand skimpy swimwear from the Devs, then I deserve a massive, wide-brimmed, pink leopard-patterned hat complete with Eagle feather.

I just want Guinans head toppers.

Why not? In a game where I can storm a Klingon stronghold in my beachcomber outfit and shades any resemblance to being "proper" or "realistic" completely went out the window. Might as well go for broke and let people wear whatever the hell they want at this point.

No kidding, and even in your beachcomber outfit you're overdressed compared to others.

Im guessing you mean a deer-stalker.......

As for hats, I would be happy with as many hats as a dev can design.

Make them off duty of course, but hats are fun.

    I have a tricorn somewhere.........

    Whoops. Yeah, that.

Some would be appropriate as uniform pieces. Entetprise jumpsuits come to mind. They included hats in the shows.

    I forgot I have a tricorn too...

I can see a lot of hats (deerstalker in Sherlock Holmes tricorn in high seas adventures) being used in holodeck stories, but that's another topic...

Let's not think about holo stories that'd involve the OP's request.

Well, way to go guys, you have just upped the stocking of the Lobi store, since the Devs stated they don't get a good return on the costumes.
