I don't want to do Tribble, why more junk on my PC. When you start the tutorial you have dummie stuff to blow up, why we cannot have a targeting dummie area to check and test our equipment?
Because we have Tribble - where we can test anything we want rather then just our weapons and consoles.
STO is about my Liberated Borg Federation Captain with his Breen 1st Officer, Jem'Hadar Tactical Officer, Liberated Borg Engineering Officer, Android Ops Officer, Photonic Science Officer, Gorn Science Officer, and Reman Medical Officer jumping into their Jem'Hadar Carrier and flying off to do missions for the new Romulan Empire. But for some players allowing a T5 Connie to be used breaks the canon in the game.

You can always just do a standard (not elite) infected space run. It's easy enough on Elite, in standard mode you could almost take down the borg by throwing rocks at them.
There's no point getting insulted by players who post battle results. Numbers are not a permanent status. But if a player starts to brag or make fun of others then that is a problem.
In one instance, I was in a pug ISE run with an Hirogen Apex Heavy Battlecruiser and a Voth Bulwark. Used to running 5 minute ISE runs, I expected similar results. However, I instantly noticed a slower pace. The reason was some players were not carrying their weight: http://i.imgur.com/LX73iyS.png
Being the type of person that does not say unnecessary things, pasting only the parser data is an easier and friendlier way of suggesting that one may need to improve their game, if the player values it. I believe that everyone is interested in improvement too, even if they aren't DPS centric. For the Bulwark, their build can be easily improved with some help: http://i.imgur.com/9Bulrwp.png
the thing i hate about people who post DPS damage is the beam boats that spent 90% of the match using fire at will on the gate and only doing a little bit to help with probes and generators. after the match, they look like the hero cause they're DPS is sky high, whereas mine is only 1/3rd of theirs. yet if we each took one side in khitomer vortex and did it by ourselves, i would win by a good 3-4 minutes.
DPS isnt everything. since the damage is averaged over the entire match, you can do a burst damage of 100k, take a minute to get to the other side, do another 100k there, but since you take several minutes to fly from place to place, your DPS counter says you're only doing 20k. making that really low damage, but speed boat guy look really good right now when he's actually the worst guy in the team.
just saying priorities people. understand what makes a team member valuable. if i'm in a tactical, i'd rather see a science with a bunch of debuffs then a escort with high DPS. that science is going to make sure me and the other 3 people in the group kill the cube/gate/whoosywhatsit in record time. any DPS tracker would fail in that situation cause their fancy tool doesnt track that the science is why that was possible.

sorry for the rant.
Im sorry but this thinking is just WRONG. You take 5 faw builds into an infected and take 5 single target cannons builds in... if the players are all good and know their stuff the faw builds will win EVERY SINGLE TIME. Smart players know where to park their ships so they dont just wail on the gate or they do so much damage it doesnt matter because the things that need to die are melting. People are doing infected in 1:06 at the fastest last I saw. You find me a cannon build that will do that?
And to the OP. I'm sorry that I parse my damage to see what makes my build more effective. I am a tac. My job is to do damage. If I hadnt started parsing my damage I would still be that guy doing 4k. Now I've peaked at 40k. I'm not bragging that I do more damage. I'm happy that striving to find more powerful builds and more powerful gear and working to get the right mix of both has given me a reason to keep playing a game that is BADLY content starved. On top of that I can run a ship capable of carrying newer fleet mates that are still learning the game through content they might otherwise not play due to difficulty when I know running it will make them better and more powerful players. Also I run dps tests all the time and post my builds on my fleets boards so that other players can compare to their builds and I read their posts to see what they might be doing and we build off of each others successes.
I understand people not liking the elitist attitudes of combat parsing but there is a place for it. If you don't like it... don't parse. Don't read the parses. I am that annoying guy that posts the parses in infected and you know what. 9 times out of 10 people thank me for doing it.

Yeah; sans all high-end Fleet stuff, of course.
