Voth Ground Zone Challenge

raventomoeraventomoe Member Posts: 723 Arc User
So, you all been at it for a while (not doing it yet myself due to life being a little busy) but I want to issue a challenge to the community on this one for those doing the Ground Zone.

I want to see video of someone soloing a Voth T-Rex with a melee weapon and slaying it with nothing but a sword or Ferengi whip. It can be any melee weapon or your bare fist but it MUST be a Melee-kill and only you (and your BOffs with melee weapons) doing the killing. Anyone else must be supporting you by either buffing or healing you only.

Bonus points for it being a Klingon with a Bat'leth or shouting quotes from Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann.

Respect from all over for doing it as a Klingon and shouting the quotes of said anime in the Original Klingon.

Let's see if anyone has the guts and boldness to pull what Kirito did with Gleam Eyes in SAO!

(Note: Unless a member of Cryptic posts other wise, this is not supported by Cryptic. This is just a player putting out a challenge to other players to see something awesome.)

When you think about, the actual challenge is how long you could put up with it, since it would take a while to kill the damn thing. It does constant knockbacks, mortar volleys, and summons dinos. It's gonna be a looong battle.

Kinda what I am hoping to see is a long and epic fight.

Seriously, if a member of the KDF and Klingon Player (Fed Klingons welcome to try as well...you still got honor left) does not pull this off...I will be saddened for the KDF in this game.

It was changed not too long ago. Now it's harder to do it solo. You still can, if you're VERY well equipped. But more enemies spawn at captured points than used to. There was some other tweaking, but they purposely PREVENTED a solo dino battle Sounds cool, yeah. But it isn't going to happen.
My Old Blog about things that could and should have been added when I wrote it. Not sure what I want to do with it now. I'll just keep it available now that most of it is outdated.

Is it possible to arrange a solo encounter without players swarming the thing? As tough as the Rex and crew are, I'd think player crowd control would be worse.

Yesterday my Borg Romulan soloed the medics at the Park Silo while people were busy killing the other two dinos.... and I dismembered them with a Nano-Pulse Batleth. Is that close enough?

Nope. You would of been better off finding a Voth Ground Mech and taking it on.

That is actually where I got the inspiration for this. When I ran the new mission, it coughed a Voth Mech at me and Tuvok. I ran up to it with my Klingon Science Captain; Shard Sword of Kahless in hand, and started to beat on it. I was doing more damage with the melee weapon than Tuvok was with the pea-shooter. Enough to actually destroy it.

Did I forget to mention that I did it while dodging Mortars from the V-Rex?

I want to get a screenshot of one of my Klingons with a charged-up Nukara sword fighting a V-Rex.

I will subtitle it "A Klingon is killing a dinosaur with a lightsaber. Your argument is invalid."
