Borg chops, served with tholain swords

With a side order of dead borg, and a small soft drink.

I'm having more fun then any sane person has a right to with the tholian swords. The swords do exceptionally well at killing the elites . Better then anything else I've run across.

I know at least one of the combos is a PBAoE, but I'm having trouble working out all the sword combos and what they do. Has anyone ever mapped them out?

Melee weapons are indeed insanely effective on Borg. The Borg's greatest advantage (hax) is their ridiculously strong shields and proper melee weapons have 80% shield penetration.

The bat'leth and lirpa are more complicated really all you need to know for swords is to mash your primary attack. The 1-1-1 combo does:
* single target damage with chance to expose
* more single target damage with chance to expose
* frontal cone that hits twice, can damage 3 enemies, and exploits

If you're EC-wealthy or insanely lucky, look into getting some Security Officer doffs with the melee combat specialization. They are SUPER effective. My gorn scientist is invested into melee combat and can kill an elite heavy drone in one combo if he rolls enough criticals.
