What am I doing wrong?

When I put the different skills of my BOs on the tray to use during combat, etc etc, I don't see any of the skills that I as captain have learned, is that the way it suppose to be or I am doing something wrong, I cannot find a way to equip on my tray any of the skills of my captain.

You should be able to find them in the powers window; if not then something screwed up.

I find the ones for my BOs, but my own, the ones I train for I don't see them

you captain does not have a lot of active skills until high levels, and even then, only a handful. If you are a tactical captain, you have attack pattern alpha, fire on my mark, etc. If you are an engineer you have rotate shields and a power boost. If you are a sci, you have scan and something. These should be in the list of skills (along with shield rebalance, BO skills, your weapons, special ship abilities, and so on).

I think I can get all my skills (not counting the BO skills which I leave in their own clicky area) in 3 bars, and that is with empty slots for an organized, clean layout --- they probably would fit in 2 bars jammed up.


Things you train like weapon skill, flow caps, shield power, etc are not active and do not show up. Only a few are active and those come from leveling up, not anything you train.

OK that is what I was thinking, I am just re-checking to make sure I am not missing anything.

the stuff you train is passive. The clickers come from level ups, and you really only have 2-3 for the first 40 levels or so (in space).

On the ground, your skills are a mix of your current kit & stuff you get as you level up.

Pretty much what noroblad says. My engineer for example has power transfer, miracle worker, engineering fleet and the ones all of them share like fleet support (distress call), slipstream, ramming and abandon ship.
