science destroyer with cloacking device?

can science destroyer (fed ship) equip cloaking device from tactical escort retrofit?
because romulan and klingon have their cloakig devices.(not sure bout klingon but i used it with romulan ship)


edit. sto wiki says no can do, but it would be good if it can be equipped to it, because other 2 versions can :/

i would buy retro tac escort just to get this :)

    Rom has aa Battlecloak, KDF has a normal cloak, Fed has none. I don't think it can be equiped. I believe the only ships that it can be fitted on is the ones it comes with (Galaxy X and Escort Retrofit) and the Fleet and C-Store Avengers.

    The Fed version has a higher shield modifier to compensate for it, but for whatever reason the KDF version has a higher hull strength than the Fed version. IMO, the Fed Version should have the same hull strength as the KDF version.

    Typically, this is how Cryptic differentiates KDF from Fed -- KDF ships typically have a higher hull value, and Fed ships have higher Shields.

    There are exceptions, but by and large if two ships are directly comparable, this is the big difference.

    Has this thread another purpose other than kiddo's : gimme, gimme , gimme ?

    Starfleet are (should be) good guys , so good guys do not cloak.
