So, I've gotten the new equipment from the anniversary featured episode, I like them and they seem like good equipment, but they have no special visuals.

Is this just bug on my end, or a deliberate design choice?

(If it is deliberate, that's somewhat of a let-down)

I'm guessing it's intentional, considering how relatively easy it is to get the set compared to others of similar quality.

The only thing I'm still kind of disappointed about is the lack of engine visuals on either the Dyson or Solanae sets.

I think I've been noticing some blue flame effects from the engines in combat which look pretty cool. But that's about it.

Jem'Hadar, Absolute Zero (Breen) are space sets that are easily attained in the game. And they have visuals.

I saw on another thread that a dev posted to that there are no visuals. Didn't say why but I would guess since the ship has its own look and the dyson set that costs resources has visuals. I don't really know why... just that none were made.

They have to make skin for every ship in the game. As number of ships increase, that's a lot of work.

Yes, but those aren't Mk XII sets unless you pump lobi into one of them.. or roughly 100k dilithium into reputation/crafted sets.

Being a 'unique' set, there should be some sort of visuals attached. I was disappointed. The 3 piece set does work well in combat though.

Easiest thing to do is just recycle the Dyson set visuals for these, they're based on the same tech anyway.

Why not? It's happened with space sets before.

Could, I'd be happy with that. At least it would be something.

the breen shields come to mind and they did not even tell us it just happened one day and people thought there was a texture issue on ships LOL

I'm in favor of no visuals. I kind of want a set that's good enough to use on some of my ships that I haven't ground out other sets with, that let's me see my ship sans other crazy colors and what not.

Just one set. That lets me fly my ship the way it looks without added effects.

Honestly, one of the reasons people have to choice a shield, deflector or whatever is the visual and the features, but the visuals are really important. Almost for me, it makes my ship cooler and i feel better flying it. The choice to not include any visual is a big mistake, it doesnt matter if the items are fairly easy to get. It makes no sense at all. I hope cryptic change this in a future, or i guess nobody will be using those items, since they are not better than the dyson reps. I guess , working on visuals requires a lot more work, and of course, and that will take more time for cryptic to release new content, again.. xD.

You have the option to turn off the visuals (which is your prerogative) on nearly everything, but there are those of us who like visuals as it gives a uniqueness to the set and sets it apart from others.
