== This is a post intended to help me frame the story for a series of Foundry missions.
Basic premise-
The Foundry missions will follow an epic of my in game character ( Elane Chekov), the Daughter of a family with Starfleet in its tradition for centuries. Elane how ever grows up with a rebellious attitude and a level of discontent for authority though a keen talent for engineering. These Stories follow the Cadet through her career from cadet to Admiral.
Act 1 focus on the Academy days and extends into the days of being a young Ensign.
The game play of these missions puts the player in a variety of positions but most commonly they are in the passenger seat of the story ( Foundry is actually quite bad at giving players any kind of REAL choice) most commonly putting the player in the position of being pulled along for the ride, the friend, the colleague, the subordinate etc.
You are welcome to post with ideas- dialog ideas activity ideas and so on so long as your plot devices follow a few basic rules.
Rule 1 ==
Characters must remain true to their personality. Elane is 'Spicy' She is sharp witted and quick on her feet, often sarcastic and some times incredibly passionate when it comes to issues of injustice. Elane, though she gets into alot of trouble for not thinking before she acts, tends to work out most of her issues intelligently. She is an engineer by trade and noted for being an original tactical thinker.
- if it helps Think of her as the middle ground personality between Jean luc-picard and Captain Jack sparrow, leaning slightly towards Jack sparrow.
You may create a character to fit into the story if your interested.
Rule 2 ==
Keep the era in mind, the year is 2396-2397 during Act.1
Rule 3 ==
During act 1, space combat is minimal.
Act 1.1.
Basic plot: The mission starts off with you being pitted against Elane in a space combat simulator, to which Elane is knowing for being particularly fierce an on going rivalry with a upper class man sparks a escalating contest in the physical exams. one night, after exams are over a group of cadets ( you included) are in a small under club in Lodon when the upper class man arrive as well. All seems to go smoothly until some one takes a swing and all hell breaks lose.
