whats the point of a pre patch when I still have to patch now

I pre patched for 2 days at logout, so why again, it is the same size too. Now it will be close to an hour before I can play because their servers are fubar. 13mb in 28 minutes, unreal

Assuming its working right, prepatching downloads all the files you need and stores them.

today however it needs to copy those over and actually patch them in to the game. there is usually a small patch that goes with it (maybe the lockbox info, a late fix, whatever) but you will only have to download a small amount not the whole thing.

it will be slow as everyone is doing it at the same time, but if you had not prepatched it would be many times worse.
