Idea for Ship Interior use

I for one would love to see the ability for multiple people to crew a single ship. But, as I know that this is not likely to happen soon if at all, I have an idea that might not be to hard to do.

I would love to see the ability to be on your bridge and tell your conn officer on your bridge to plot a course, and you would be able to be in your ship and it still travel to the destination. Of course, it would still ask to cross sector block borders and such, but as the captain you would not have to pilot your ship through sector space yourself. That is why we have conn officers for.
