I'm not sure where to post a recruiting thread for my fleet, so I thought I post here.
Our old fleet, named Sakara-Heart is at low, almost non-existent status. I'm looking to change that in order to start building up the fleet properly and Getting through our Tier System & "keep up with the Jones" as the saying goes.
Starting with a new name.
We are now simply called "The Watch."
The Watch is a fleet led by me, Capt. Rico Sakara Prower, & co-founder Tyro Heartnote, both from deviantart.com.
The goal of The Watch is to be the ever-watching eyes of the galaxy, looking for anything that could be a threat to our way of life. We are the first and only line of defense against those who threaten the Federation of Planets and their allies. Our job to build up our fleet and base of operations, and patrol & protect those in need. Clear & simple.
Since co-founder Alex@Tyro_Heartnote is hardly ever online, I'm the only active member online who's contributing, and I'm looking for people who are willing to not only participate in Fleet, Borg, and Voth STFs, but also contribute to projects in the fleet holdings at least once on a weekly bases (daily would be better, but that's up to you if you're willing).
The fleet will mostly deal with STFs, including Borg, Fleet, & Voth STFs that reward Fleet marks, Omega Marks, Dyson Marks, and other goods. We'll even do other STFs for other marks, if asked to. We be more than willing to help you through your reputation system.
Ranking system is based on the Gao'uld from StarGate.
Ranking system is as follows:
Rank 7 - System Lord (Admiral/administrator)
Rank 6 - First Prime (Captain)
Rank 5 - Second Prime (Commander)
Rank 4 - Third Prime (Lieutenant)
Rank 3 - Knight (Ensign)
Rank 2 - Warrior (Chief)
Rank 1 - Servant (Crewman)
Member will move up in rank based on performance in battle and how much they contribute to the fleet holdings.
**YOU MUST BE A REAR ADMIRAL, LEVEL 44 TO JOIN!!!**
Those who have already joined the fleet below the rank of Rear Admiral can still stay on and contribute until they reach level 44 to join the STFs.
If there is anyone, and I mean anyone out there who is either just made it to Level 44 or is wishing to switch fleets, The Watch has it's doors always opened.
Weekend warriors are also welcomed.
If you wish to join The Watch, please message me on STO, at "Capt. Rico Sakara Prower@CaptRicoSakara", or note me on my deviantart page, at captricosakara.deviantart.com.
You are in for a lot of work!! It's just me and Meowstar in Cartoon Heroes ATM, and I can tell you that, it's a nightmare trying to get people to join! Most of them ignore you or say no, once in a while you come across a smart@$$ that asks you what your fleet can do for him, then picks your fleet apart acting like he's doing you a favor by even talking to you. Then brushes you off and turns his nose up and struts away. I've met 5 of them so far!
Then there is the grinding that has left me drained. It's wasn't as bad when my brother was still playing, I love to team up with him since he's what brought me to the game to begin with. But expect hours, days grinding for a few fleet marks at a time, and millions of EC and resources just to build up one tier. Before I joined his fleet, he had already soloed getting his Star Base to Tier 1, then we began to work on the mine for discounts. Meowstars laptop dies and I took it all by my lonesome from there, I finally get the last bunch of projects out of the way, and you are then hit massive grind that I couldn't yet finish to get Tier 1 started. On top of completing the grind to gain all of the mats for new Breen ship decoration, I set up our Website and tended it. I have been wore out on STO and haven't played in a week or so now.
If you are lucky enough to get help, jump at it! Because building up a fleet is hell with a light crew. I know it's a cool thought, to start something and hope for the best, I pushed Meowstar into letting me use his fleet for the Cartoon Heroes project. I wanted a fun fleet, filled with playful and friendly people, since my last fleet was so mean to me towards the end. Most of the good players already have their own fleets, and don't wish to hear it. The new ones will most often sponge what ever then can off of you for a week or two, then quietly quit or stop playing. So just a heads up. I myself am about to give up and just move on to Star Wars and xbox live games.
Good luck on your project, I hope it works out better then mine!!
