Defera Invasion zone question

OK, so yesterday, I was running an Alt on Defera in the invasion zone, really just to get Borg kills for the accolade.

So I decided to get them the anti-borg device, you know the one that has the ability to make borg smaller... so, I got the all the components, and crafted it, and noticed that I could not equip it on my Fed Sci captain.

Then I went back to double check, maybe I chose the wrong device to craft, but that was the only there.

So, I switched back to my Fed tac captain that has it, and the device is different. My tac captain has a common experimental borg device, while the sci captain crafted an uncommon tuned anti-borg device.

When did this get changed? I even took my tac captain back to Defera to make sure, and sure enough, the one he had wasn't available anymore.

That's a bummer...
I really like that device, it was cool.

I think you are confused. They are 2 different things.

One is the device you need to adquire to complete the mission automatic figures or something like that lol, ! i cant remember (time ago now since i played in Defera). That is the device that makes the borg smaller, or slower or whatever. But that device dissapear once you complete the mission. And you adquire that device just asking the same mission vendor where you adquired the mission. You dont need to do anything special.

The second one you are reffering to, is the improved frecuency remodulator (i think its name is fractal remodulator) that you can craft in Defera invasion zone, and it is like a common frecuency remodulator, but it takes only 3 seconds to apply the effect instead 4.

And then, you have the instant remodulation devices, that are consumable items that can be crafted in Defera invasion as well. And the name is auto tuned anti borg device..

sure it's not the zone quest device you get from temple quest person? that quest isn't always available though.

when have that quest forget name but you accept the quest then find green text about the device and she gives 1. the quest

its to kill bunch of tagged borg that were tagged with that device.

I thought something was odd... I will have to look out for that the next time I'm on Defera.

The device you craft is a Fractal Re-modulator it just re-modulates your weapons faster.
You get the "Experimental Anti-Borg Device" from Jula the Temple quest giver, it's only for the one zone wide quest "Field Functionality Figures" it works right from your inventory so you don't have to mount it in one your device slots, once you finish and turn in the quest the device disappears from your inventory.
To keep the device, ask Jula for a device when you take the quest, and equip it on one of your Boffs, then ask Jula for another device, then when you turn in the quest, only the device you have on you will disappear.
