Hello, I have already put in a bug report on this, but I wanted to know if this is some intentional issue that may be implemented for a reason.
Ok, so I have a Reman Science Officer, and for ground duty officers I have already got this Biochemist slotted for active duty ground. This particular Biochemist gives me the ability to have a chance at getting a stun applied when I used Sonic Pulse.
So I ended up getting another biochemist Doff when I got Science commendation to Rank 4, and this one was one of the Debuff biochemists where it adds the dmg debuff to science abilities. So I tried to add it to my last slot for active duty ground, however it wouldn't add the biochemist, it said I already had one active. Now this has me concerned, because I already have two geologists added to active duty with different abilities, and I have 3 biochemists with 3 different abilities when I equip them, but I am only able to equip one of these biochemists. I have tried my other two biochemists but neither will go onto active duty. Now I could understand maybe not getting to stack the same ability, as that could be a little overpowered, but i was simply trying to take a different ability however it wont let me take more than one biochemist.
Since I run a Physicist kit, i was just looking at something useful for ground combat and to make my abilities a little more effect. I sure hope its a bug, because I need to get a second doctor with the bonus heal for my other science officer who runs as a ground medic. However with this being an issue, I decided to hold off and make sure that it isn't a recent buff for stackign science related Doffs.
Yup, there is a couple of weeks old thread where Bran replied where people complained about the doff slotting. When the doff system was implemented things were simple, 1 doff does 1 thing and these kinds of problems weren't in the minds of the developers.
They have kept piling on the variations and ignoring the potential issues, and now people are complaining, specially since we have 6 doff slots now.
yes, but as I said, I do have two different geologists put on active duty ground, and I don't have any biochemists active duty for space. For space, my active duty roster consists of a gravimetric scientist, A Photonic studies scientist, a warp core engineer, a Damage control Engineer and a Deflector Officer. For ground I have 2 different geologists, the one Biochemist and the advisor you get from the friday 13th episode because it is nice for the Reman mind blast ability.
Why is it that some officers can only have one of that type slotted for active duty, but other duty officer types can stack as many as you have available. Sounds to me that either they limit it to one of each type, or one of each ability, or no limitations at all.

Plenty of doffs where you can slot only one. The Gravimetric scientist and the warfare specialists are other examples.

Um, yeah, slot limits are shared between space and ground.

I know you can slot up to three technician doffs, BUT there are some like the gravemetric where you can only slot one.
It would be kinda helpful if this information was included in the doff description, IMO.
Does anyone know if there is a list of this info anywhere?
I haven't tried STO Wiki, wonder if they include it there.
Thanks in advance
