Choice of marks and Storm Spire, Elachi Alert

With Elachi alert being removed, why are you saying that Storm the spire is "choice of marks" when your only choices are fleet and dyson marks? Shouldn't the choices include rommie marks as well? I really hate azure neb rescue and Vault Ensnared. Could we please have some other missions through which we can acquire rommie marks?

    They are saying choice of marks, because you get to choose what marks you want.

    You get 2 choices, and this has nothing to do with Romulans.

    I don't get to choose what I want if Romulan marks aren't included in that list. I only get to choose out of a list of two-fleet marks and dyson marks.

    There should be only one type of marks, all the marks types should be merged into a single mark to provide greater gameplay freedom and flexiblity.

    Yeah it's frustrating you can't tell which you can choose from. I often have to try and remember which I can choose from when picking my queues.

    Was it ever commented by devs why Elachi alert was removed? It was afaik only space Elachi mission and one of few space missions giving away Rom marks.

    No they shouldn't. That would completely undermine the whole reputation concept. The marks are supposed to be an abstract representation of the work you've done for a certain group and the favors they owe you in return.

    In that way, allowing players to choose what marks they get is already dodgy business, excluding situations like trading winter epohhs where you actually could choose who to give it to. Missions that help multiple groups, like the spire mission helps your fleet and dyson command, should give both marks at the same time, not a box that lets you choose after the fact who it was for.

    The Elachi are considered Romulan enemies. They are part of a story arc in the Romulan episodes.

    Tholians are also part of Romulan episodic content and you have to save Romulan ships from them in Azure Nebula Rescue, and the Vault is also part of Romulan story content.

    This is why you get to choose Romulan marks from those PvE events.

    The Voth are not part of the Romulan content.

    I do agree that it can be confusing sometimes not knowing what is in the box until you open it.

    It would be nice if they could go through all the info text in the PvE queues and add in text that says what mark choices you have for everything that gives a choice of marks.
