Low Damage Areas War Zones

shinzonisbackshinzonisback Member Posts: 330
Farming in N'Vat system, I noticed that there are some areas where damage is greatly reduced.

In those areas, borg cubes deals really low damages, quite nothing.
Also, I noticed that in these areas, they don't use THY, Shield Neutralizer or the Tachyon Beam.

First, I thought that they could have been tactical cubes (cause their shield and hull were tough), but then I noticed that they did little to no damage to me.

also, even spheres and probes deals low damage when they are in these areas.

How this can be ?

Are they actual areas or are they particular Borg?

There have been buffs/nerfs to the Borg here and there, which have not always populated amongst all the Borg. The same scenario exists in Ker'rat for these (not sure about N'Vat, but would assume so) as does for the Empire Defense - Borg.

You can have a standard Borg Cube that might have 50k hull...then another, that for all appearances appears to be the same standard Borg Cube with two to three times the hull.

You can run an ISE not thinking anything of it - the same ol' same ol'...and suddenly everybody's dying cause the Borg are hitting a Hell of a lot harder than they normally do.

The Borg are interesting in that way...with the various changes made to them...as if the system that generates them sometimes pulls older versions of them.

Well, I didn't noticed anything like that in ISE or KASE.
    But the borg aren't buffed.

LOW DAMAGE AREA - NORMAL AREA
    ME: Low Damage - - - - Normal Damage
    BORG: Low Damage - - - - Normal Damage

I mean: its not only me or only them, its both me and them.
I noticed that is not their hull to be increased, its my and their damage to be reduced.

Warzone Borg will hit less than STF Borg since they are not programmed with raid strength.

It's kind of funny, because there will be the random regular Cube that's stronger than the Tac Cubes...

actually, when in Low Damage Areas, borg cubes are REALLY weak:

I withstood continuos attacks from 3 cubes and 9 probes, and killed them one by one.
Normally, I would have killed them in 1 min instead of 4, but maybe i wouldn't have survived.

I mean: there are pros and cons.
However, its REALLY boring facing cubes in that areas.

PS: When in LDA (low damage areas), even probes and spheres are weaker, not only cubes.

So the problem is not that random buff/nerf on borg cubes.

When I say random, to be honest, I never really paid attention to where I was on the map...

...that being said though, you can hit up an Empire Defense - Borg and:

After the initial two, there's that Cube 'n Sphere combo to the "forward" right. Off to the right of that, there is another Cube. That second Cube is far more powerful than the first.

Yeah the Borg I find to be fairly weak...tell you get 5 of them staggering shield neutraliser on you and you're just praying that BoP you saw earlier wasn't stalking you...

It is through repetition that we learn our weakness.
A master with a stone is better than a novice with a sword.

Has damage got out of control?
This is the last thing I will post.
