So I've had this happen twice to me know, I had a biologist on active ground duty, couldn't add one to active space, same with fabrication officer, I understand it'll be the mechanic to stop stacking but it's kind of annoying as there are very few useful d'offs for the ground sets I tend to use and I don't really want to have to go in and activate/deactivate certain d'offs everytime I switch from space to ground...

Hate that too. I cant slot my fabrication engineer for space cause of ground and the other way around. Hope they fix this some time
Thanks for the input, I'm also hoping, praying, for a fix too as now we can get 6 slots for each I'd really be looking forward to putting that to use but now I'm more worried about which d'off I'll have to remove from ground duty to be able to use in space!

1) For doffs where you can only slot 1 (Like gravimatric scientist) you can't slot more than one even if the bonus obtained is different (Tyken's cooldown/Tyken's aftershock/GW aftershock).
2) Doffs that can be slotted both in ground and space hit an overall limit. With the fabrication engineers it's 1.
3) The whole success/crit mechanic for assignments needs to be fixed, but the devs say they'd have to go one by one with the assignments fixing them which is why they ignore the problem.
4) Broken doffs. I'm looking at you Juel Ducane Warp Theorist (Slotting 1 or 3 provides exactly the same bonus, in other words, using more than 1 is garbage and I find the bonus from just 1 is as pure garbage as the phaser proc) and the Deflector Officer doffs (They don't reduce the cooldown on Energy Siphon or Tachyon Beam as they used to do prior to Oct 2012).
Solutions:
1/2) Limit the doffs by the bonus they provide and not by the type of doff.
3) Take the time to fix them. With each release you keep adding more of these and the problem gets propagated because you use the same broken system.
4) Would it be so hard to fix these?
