sci bop shield

What's a good shield for sci in a B'rel? I usually use the KHG set on my sci ships, but the B'rel shield mod 0.80 is so low that its not able to keep the shield charged up fully and sometimes doesnt even fully repair the massive cap. I cant use the MACO like on escorts because of plasmonic leach. I thought about using Omega, but the periodic unsolicited speed and turn buffs annoy me greatly.

Add a regen console maybe?

What are the rest of you using?

Dielectric Oscillation Resilient Shields, from "Cold Storage". The Breen episodes provides plenty equipment begging to be loaded on a B'rel.

 Nukara is better than Breen, more cap, more regen, better resists, and 1% chance to reflect

I've been having good luck with fleet resilient shields. I know they're not part of a set, but they hold out pretty well for me.

I don't have them yet, but I hear the Dyson set is great for science. Even though the shield has a small cap, I hear, with the set, you get a nice shield heal each facing. On a b'rel though...idk how well that would go with the tiny shield mod.

When you find a good shield, please post what you get. I'm really curious :)

Silly OP, the B'rel doesn't need shields :P

If you're detected while cloaked, you're probably dead meat anyways.

What about Dyson then? Same cap as Assimilated, but better regen (2nd best after Omega), 10% reduction to all energy types plus an additional 20% to AP, and it has that shield heal proc.

He's right you know. You really don't need shields on that ship. Stick to the KHG for the placate. Cause like I KNOW your using the 3 piece for the extra battlecloak in a pinch right? And the torpedo damage.

So yah stick with the 3 piece.

Adapted maco, or your khg shield is still one of my favorites for my torp boat. Now I get

where your coming from with the cap thing, but I gotta love me some extra placates when I

get decloak. Otherwise, I love the elite resilient shield. One shield that intrigues me is the

dyson shield (the whole set looks rather interesting, especially that proton barrage).

For my B'Rel I stick to the KHG shield. The placate chance I think is more important than any shield capacity that we can get on the B'Rel, since the ship has a low shield mod to begin with. Works amazing if you're part of a group so you can lose yourself in that mix, but less useful if you're trying to solo someone that is getting a bead on you and you didn't alpha him.

As Thissler point out also, the KHG 3 piece bonus gets the Mask Energy Field to help you in escapes also. Most esp. since we're not Romulans with a million escape abilities ;) We need everything we can get in that regard.

I think the fleet resb resilient are better, but I'm staying with KDF for now.

Still have the same problem as before. After a few successful attacks and escapes, people start making you a priority target, so you get away and shields are low. You cant heal shields in battlecloak (shields are down/disabled), so when you pop out for the next attack you still have low shields. I guess I need to start leaving the area for full repairs more often.

I used the default mk x white one for a very long time to train myself to never been caught out of cloak.

After i got confident in myself i put the full three piece KHG on.

But sometimes I miss that old trusty TRIBBLE shield, cause now i get cocky.
