Previously Repurposed K'Gans

So this problem has been here ever since season 8 was patched. Basically, every one of my "K'Gans" that I have renamed and started typing up a background now have locked names and backgrounds. As in, I can't edit those aspects of them at all.

I'm assuming that the devs wanted K'Gan to be like Elisa Flores - An identity that you can't change or alter, but can still discharge, and the game still considers the repurposed K'Gans still K'Gans.

I'm only talking about this now, almost two months after the problem appeared because I am extremely lazy. Oh well, at least I got it out there for a dev to read.

I'm not the only one with repurposed K'Gans with this problem, right?

Hmmm.....I can't say I've noticed this. Probably because I keep my K'Gans named K'Gan (the guy kinda' grew on me ) and I started my new batch of KDF chars back when LoR was launched and shortly after so I haven't experienced this.

Anyway, it's a weird decision if this what you're saying is true and not a glitch after all the customization complaints following the introduction of Tovan Khev and Elisa Flores. At least having K'Gan more open to customization didn't feel like being forced into something by anyone that might have an issue with it.

Nope. I started my KDF char post-S8 and K'Gan's "Edit Record" button is grayed out. Since he has no specific purpose outside the tutorial I really don't see the point of making him unalterable. I wasn't planning on changing his name, just giving him a background (because he doesn't have one).

At least his tailor options aren't locked.

Yes, but the Edit Record wasn't grayed out before season 8. All the K'Gans that could be editted before season 8 now can not.

This screenshot is of my own K'Gan, renamed and biography-editted before season 8.



Looks like every other customizeable DOFF, no? Except that his Edit Record button is grayed out. He still has K'Gan's three superior traits as well. But he has a different name and the start of a bio... a bio which I can never finish now because he is still a K'Gan in coding, thus can not be altered because of season 8's changes to K'Gan.
