Mercenary kit belt and BOFFs. Possible bug?

Now I know the Mercenary Kit is NOT intended to be worn by BOFFs. I get that.

However, the awesome tactical belt that is included in it shows up when you're trying to edit some of your boffs. Thinking that it would be awesome to deck out my crew in soldier-like gear on my tactically oriented ship, I bought the kit.

The problem that I run in to is that the Mercenary Kit belt ONLY works on my male BOFFs. I can't equip it on my female BOFFs. I don't like the idea of sexism on my ship, I'm going to have to report the quartermaster in charge of this to my sexual harassment prevention officer!

Is there any chance that we could get this fixed, Cryptic? Please? We have something that looks just like a 'kit' that we can equip on BOFFs. I spent $5 just to get that kit look, I don't even care about the outfit.

A few friends and I started to play the game again recently and one mentioned his male toon and boffs could also use the 03 belt. So I checked on mine and sure enough it?s also there. I?d really like it if I could use it on female toons and boffs also. Another thing that would be great is if we had access to the rest of its bits like the arm strap thing and bandolier.

I got the outfit for the same reason as the op. I wanted the extra bits for normal use. Back when I got it there was dev talk of scrapping the off duty separation out. Figured it would be perfect I could use the mercenary stuff in lieu of a kit at higher level were they start to go garish. Then again there was talk of making kits into customizable costume unlocks. That seems to still be on the board of things to come, will any luck that will happen along with full access to the mercenary stuff on uniforms.
