In addition to a master key you need an engineer doff, blue min, to make it "go" open.
New home of the Romulan Republic.
I have an idea for what Season 11 should be; Season 11: The Big Bug Fix.
I have not been able to read my bug tickets in over a year, not even the tickets about not being able to see my tickets.
I find the drama of your signature proof of your immaturity, this means you, DR whiners.
To be serious, I like the Sheliak.
They are the perfect "alien of the week" candidate for Cryptic to shove into their storyline.
I am one of the few persons it seems, who actually like to see more of some aliens of the week. Although only the more exotic ones like the Sheliak. Or the Melkot of TOS for example, or the First Federation.

Oh I absolutely agree. I've actually thought out a list of a dozen or so I want to see again. Boslics, the FGC 47 aliens, Medusans, but I digress. Sheliak would be awesome.

I'm sorry, but according to the agreement with Shelliak Corporate, section 3, subsection D-14, Subchapter 4A, paragraphs 162-167, no outside race may appropriate the likeness of The Membership or any of their vehicles, without engaging in the procurement process outlined on Subchapter 17C, paragraphs 14-18, which outlines the detailed procedures for negotiations and procurement of both tangible and intellectual property.
Humans are apparently way too vague and nonspecific. We'd need at LEAST a 1400 page proposal to even get their attention.
I laughed when I read earlier of a First Federation lockbox. A sphere of ping pong balls...your enemies will not be able to tell if you are coming or going.
Seriously, the Sheliak must have a brutal legal system. Their lawyers would eat Federation lawyers alive, methinks.
Allegedly, the reason why the treaty was so long was due to the differences with the nature of the Sheliak language. Sheliak seems to be a far more precise language than English.
Neat, didn't expect all these replies! They should also show what sheliak actually look like, instead of just a shadowy figure in bad lighting.
I will say one thing, I am surprised the Undine didn't get a lockbox, being how they show up all over the game. Cryptic probably doesn't wanna design bio-ships/bridges.

And yet there are already enough Undine ships and interiors ingame to throw out an Undine Lockbox.
I hope they are working on an update for the Undine and new story content for their arc, which is among the most important in STO from the very beginning.

But the sheliak just look like a dude with a burlap sack on his head.

When have we been inside an Undine ship? I'm blanking on that one.

Probably still extinct.

Literally.
I could like me a Sona ship.

Maybe that's how they re-introduce a better Galaxy Class... via pure luck.
and yeah, Son'a would rock.
