Suggestion: Negh'Var Dreadnaught

What about a Negh'Var Dreadnaught? The Negh'Var was the empires attempt to rival the Galaxy Class. In-game we have it mirror the Exploration Cruiser R exactly, except for getting Battlecruiser benefits where the Explo-R gets Cruiser benefits.

But the alternate timelines of the anti-time phenomenon showed us another version of the ship which actually seemed like a "response" to the AGT Galaxy Class which found it's way as the "Dreadnaught Cruiser" into the game. Since that ship exists in STO (which lets me place STO completely in an anti-time alternate future ;) ) why not make this Negh'Var type available to the KDf players? It was seen in "endgame" and on a few other occasions.

What the dreadnaught cruisers "phaser lance" is the Negh'Var's ventral "weapon pods". The rest of the ship could mirror the Dradnaught Cruiser.

40.000 Hull
9 Turn
25 innertia
4/2/3 (Eng/Sci/Tac) (4/2/4 for possible fleet version)
Cmdr Eng
Lt Cmdr Eng (Fleet: LTC Tac)
Lt Sci
Lt Tac
Ens Tac (Fleet: Ens Uni)

Cloak
Can equip cannons
Innate ability: Armour piercing heavy cannons (3 minute cooldown. A salvo of those two huge disruptors with the ability to bypass or massively bleedthrough shields and armour)

Alternate BOFF layout (maybe for the fleet version), thanks to majortiraomega:

Cmdr. Eng
LTC. Eng
LTC. Tac
Lt. Sci

I'd like it :)

I think the addition of this vessel and the revamp of the Starfleet pendant (if they make a fleet version) could add a nice touch to the game. If the "phaser lance" would also get a piercing proc, fielding hull tanking cruisers could once more seem more viable and put squishier ships at peril when facing one of these.

    I'd like a Negh'var-refit equivalent to the Regent/Sovvie-refit.

The chance of this happening now that the Mogh has been released? Zero.

On the other hand, maybe it can be next year's anniversary ship.

A C-Store Negh'Var would be good. Though they really need to update the Negh'Var model, it's absolutely plain and lacking many details compared to the Qu'Daj or even shots of the actual ship from the shows.

I could work with it. I like the special weapon idea as well.

If we do get something like this I would ask that the Lt Cmdr be maybe Eng or Uni...KDF already has a fair share of Tac BCs.

I would definitely go for a negh'var like this as long as it had the alternate boff layout you suggested. Sounds awesome with a disruptor lance. Make it so Cryptic!

Those weapon pods/underwing cannons could be like kumari's wing heavy cannons but please no [dmg]x4...would be nice if those N'v disruptors had elite disruptor proc.

My thought's exactly, same as a new Galaxy-X for Fed's.
Not sure what the Romulan's would get, a new(er) D'D?

Would be even cooler if it was this year's anniversary ship. Kind of boggles your mind when you think that we still haven't had a KDF equivalent to the galaxy X added in yet.

Now this is my personal conclusion and I know it's not even in the same class, but I believe them to see the Guramba as the counterpart of the Galaxy-X. I think that's why we haven't seen a proper fleet Guramba yet, after all this time since the initial ship was released. I'm almost certain that when they release a fleet Galaxy-X, they'll release a fleet Guramba at the same time.

If it were the case that the gurbama had cloak, I would tend to agree with you. The Galaxy_X has a cloak and so would a negh'var dreadnaught equivalent.
