Crystalline Catastrophe bugged again?

Just attempted CC, and literally could not complete it. I must have been blown up no less than 30 times, and it was doing over 28000 that's right 28 THOUSAND damage per regular blast! After 20 minutes of that utter bull****e and being unable to knock it down below 5% before it healed back up, we started losing people and it became even more impossible. I was the second to last to quit.

No, I'm not in a freaking lockbox ship with fleet elite everything, but you shouldn't damned well have to be just to complete a PVE event. I'm lvl 50, running a fleet escort with fleet DHCs and fleet shields, there's no excuse for being so badly outclassed by freaking NPCs. Yes, I'm pissed off. Rage quitting in an MMO is not supposed to happen outside of PvP. This is infuriating.

And yes I run this mission regularly, and it's never like this. This is bull****e. Please fix it.

    Hundreds, I'm guessing, in which case, lol. That's normal. You've got to debuff that thing. Since you're in an old-style escort, you've never been the one stripping the recrystalize buff, so maybe you've never realized how much one or two science ships in a match contribute to making it playable.

    Yep, stacks. One person with a tachyon beam can keep it under control, an Armitage or Vesta with Deltas can pretty much do it.

    *edit* nah was my bad, what works are:

    Tachyon Beam
    Charged Particle Burst
    Energy Siphon
    Tyken's Rift

    But, just as a hint, ALL of those informations can simply be gathered by reading the actual mission description you get ingame.

    I have found that every once in a blue moon, the queue will jack up and it will put you in a elite instance even if you didnt choose it. Even more rarely it will change the entity to an elite version at the 66% or 33% health mark. This might have happened to you

    Any captain can load a tachyon beam, and firing it off everytime it is ready, is enough to keep the CE in check. :)
