I've noticed that none of the new food items do anything different from older ones... but they have different rarities? For example, and this is according to item descriptions and assuming they are correct and not copied/pasted and what have you:
Glazed Ham (Old, *COMMON*) - +56% HP over 3.5sec, +5% maximum shields for 3600 sec, 50% more effective during winter event.
Jellied Gree-Worm Cookie (New, *RARE*) - +56% HP over 3.5sec, +5% maximum shields for 3600 sec, 50% more effective during winter event.
...So these two items are exactly the same? Why is one white and the other blue? Also, it's a bit disappointing that a new winter item is exactly the same as an old one. I mean, I realize there isn't a whole lot you can do, but maybe some crit+, or some crit severity+, speed+, jump+, small passive HP regen over 3600sec, something like that. These need more variety!
What about some that heavily (+15?) boost one thing and reduce one or two other things (-5?)? What about some specific ones, like +melee? Ones that add the "Hit Points Possible (HPP)" effect from certain armors? Ones which add buffs/heal HP when your HP gets low? How about a very rare one that picks you up ala cardiopulmonary resuscitation if you go down? Maybe ones that help us dodge some of incoming attacks ala crouching or ones which increase/decrease threat? They could at least heal different amounts than a standard +56% that any ol' common food item heals.
I like these little things, and they add some flavor (literally) to the event. But why copy/paste foods exactly? If you're gonna add new ones, make 'em do something... new!
