With the free B'rolth...

...comes the free Induction Coils console. What's the cooldown on that? The wiki says it lasts for 20 sec, is that time modified by points in Battery skill?

Open question to anyone who's already got this console: in general, do you find it useful? Big scoop of Weapons & Engine power sounds nice, but opportunity cost is a harsh mistress.

I'm sure your DPS is great, but as Kahless said, "a petaQ with high system mastery is still a petaQ." (Well, he should have said it...!)

    I'd imagine it works like the Enhanced Plasma Manifold thing from the Oberth.

    3 minute CD, probably affected by the Battery skill for how long it lasts. Gives a bonus to weapons and engines instead of shields and aux, also repairs disabled weapons and engines.

    I don't own the B'rolth...well, not until I log in later and claim it. But I have owned the Oberth for a long time, and felt that it was...decent.

    Honestly, it was ok for when I used it, but it wasn't game-changing. It does get affected by the Maintenance Engineer DOFF, which will gives both bonuses since it counts as two batteries I believe, would need to check.

    It's nice when fighting Tholians. 3 min recharge if I recall correctly.

    Nice to have, though I don't use it a lot. Loved it at lower levels of new characters, though.

    What mimey2 said. Also, the console is rather usefull during the leveling. At end-game though, it can be usefull in certain situations and for a certain way of playing, but personally as someone that prefers using battlecruisers I found myslef not using it at end game, even moreso since the crusier commands were released.
    But dependant on build/skill, it can be helpfull for BoPs in some situations where you want to get higher spike or make a hasty exit. :D

    Thanks, folks. About what I was figuring: good, but maybe not worth swapping out an established console slot. I'll evaluate and see what I think.

    I got the Oberth when I leveled my sci toon and found that console to be useful at leveling. Once I reached end game it was discarded. Since it was only $5 I felt it was worth it + getting to fly classic Oberth.

    Grabbed a pair for my couple of KDF. Interesting to look at. Stashed the console, ditched the ship (I'm lvl 50 on both and only had 1 or 2 free slots for either toon, so ... priorities!)

    Well he should have! :mad: They were giving away that one for free as well!
    They tried to mask it by calling it Marauder Flight-Deck Cruiser, but everyone in the KDF knows it's a B'rothel. :P :D

    The console is just ok, but I'm really happy I get the skin for my b'rel :) I just wonder why it's under a different name.
